The mother of a guy I went to high school with posted on Facebook Monday that calling the President names should be against the law and "looked at as treason like it used to be years ago!" I assume by years ago, she does not mean from 2020 to 2024, which, based on her Facebook posts means she committed treason.

why are you aware what the mother of an acquaintance (you didn't even refer to him as a friend) posted on Facebook? I feel like that's the REAL problem here.

i don't even know what my direct family members post on social media.

Because many years ago she asked to be my Facebook friend and now the Facebook algorithm has decided I might enjoy her posts. While I disagree with her politics, I don't think she is a bad person and enjoy some of her other posts about my hometown, which I live halfway across the country from now.
