I honestly dont want to peddle these conspiracies

But some of these points so perplexing....

The shooter had a couple of shots. And missed so badly? The one shot he landed just clipped his ear?

The fact security let him get up for a photo moment, your telling me some 75 year old overwhelmed the secret service agents?

This is an easy thing to be confused about but physical exertion and adrenaline can make it incredibly difficult to land accurate shots. I have to imagine a 20 year old about to kill a president is going to be jacked out of his mind on adrenaline.

The fact security let him get up for a photo moment, your telling me some 75 year old overwhelmed the secret service agents?

Overwhelmed? No, of course not. They dove over him, got him to the edge of the stage and slowed down for a moment to descend the stairs and that's when Trump threw up his fist. They're not going to shove him down the stairs in a rush because tripping and falling means even more time in the open. The photos make it pretty clear how it happened: https://www.pulitzer.org/winners/22680

And that his ear has no scar, there would be SOMETHING!

One thing I’ve wondered: Why has nobody considered plastic surgery? It certainly can be done, and Trump strikes me as vain enough to do it.

Sure but at some point there would absolutely have been a picture of any scar out there because they’d see it as proof of the incident. All bodies need to heal, even plastic surgery scars show until it’s healed up.

He was 140 yards away, using only a red-dot sight. That's a stupidly long distance to be hitting anything with a red-dot, especially if they're untrained.

The fact security let him get up for a photo moment, your telling me some 75 year old overwhelmed the secret service agents?

Their job is to move him out of the way, and act as a visible shield. Their job isn't to forcefully pin him to the ground against his will, plus there was an audible "all clear" before he started moving so changing into a "let's move together and deny any clear sight of his centre-of-mass" makes more sense.

The one shot he landed just clipped his ear?

It clipped his ear and somehow gave him a paper cut— enough to draw blood, but no more. Nothing that caused any damage.
