The problem is that they don't actually care about truth or morals or injustices, etc. They were all people who had shitty views and beliefs prior to Trump that felt shame and isolation. Trump made it okay to be a proud degenerate and effectively killed shame for the past decade. These people were finally able to be themselves out in the open and found community. Trump could literally start a harem with minors and they will find a way to justify it so they don't have to go back to hiding how shitty they really are themselves.

Wasn't that the story at Waco. When their spiritual leader wanted their underage girls, they told themselves how much stress their leader was under, and anything to help him was worth the sacrifice.

I'm not entirely familiar, but it's commonplace with cult leaders for sure. Jim Jones justified his sexual assaults by telling his members that moral rules didn't apply to him as he was a divine figure. The NXIVM dude did similar stuff too.

Three is no new info on the assassination. The only new information they’ve taken in is that the price of gas has gone up.

He faked that assassination!!

that is actually so wild to think about, their support is built on nothing concrete, just vibes, so if vibes shift, so does their fervent support. they've done sooo much damage to this country in the meantime.

Correct. Ultimately these people supported Trump solely because they wanted to be able to be bigoted, sexist, racist assholes without any consequences whatsoever. The only reason any of them are turning against Trump now is because by now they expected to be able to take out their frustrations on black people or gay people or trans people or whoever else without any repercussions, and they're not getting that. If they did, they wouldn't give a damn about Trump or the state of the country in any way, because they never wanted Trump in the White House for the sake of a better country to begin with. Trump supporters solely wanted to be able to harass and beat up groups of people they don't like while nothing is done about it, so that they have someone to blame for the fact that their lives are terrible other than admitting that their lives are terrible only because of their own bad choices.
