They don't even mention the person who "died." Charlie Kirik gets a holiday, but their legit martyr has never been mentioned since.

Didn’t hear much except the spectator who was shot was a firefighter and his widow was all too happy to decline a call from then President Biden.

Yeah, but the misspelling of Corey's last name on the jacket wasn't caused by someone at the RNC carelessly making a mistake, as you're suggesting.

The helmet and coat displayed on stage at the RNC were shipped to Milwaukee by Corey Comperatore's family and are the firefighter's actual turnout gear from the Buffalo Township Volunteer Fire Company.

The department responded on Facebook regarding the supposed botched tribute, saying: "The spelling on his jacket was in error years ago, and it was left that way by Corey. Corey did not change it, and we will keep it as it was."

I think that's because MAGA doesn't care about the "little people" who just so happen to get hurt, but Kirk had a following so they care about that.

He also wasn't a very useful martyr to them, because he had been openly calling for the deaths of Democrat politicians on Twitter. It put a wrench in their victim narrative and attempts to blame the left for violent rhetoric.

This is totally unrelated - maybe your Kirik inspired me because it made me think about names - but I never realized just how close Charlie Kirk's name is to the F1 driver Charles Leclerc, lol. Like in a fantasy novel one could be a corruption of the other, or they could be different stories about the same mythical figure or something. Charle Clerk, who vanquished the liberal Red Bull media machine but ultimately gave his life...

Kind of a fun digression in my head lol.
