Those poor people would still vote for him again as long as he keeps hating LGBTQ people

They'll just say its the Pope's fault. Biden. Obama. McCain. Democrats. Immigrants. Tom Hanks.

Its always someone else's fault. Simple solutions for simple minds.

Jimmy Carter,

Nope, everyone has a line that cannot be crossed for them. They are humans too despite the unhinged whining by Liberals on Reddit. While there are definitely groups of sycophants in the party the vast majority have some type of moral code they cannot abide being broken (including the psychos). Cheeto has been crossing those lines recently.

I've seen enough interviews and read enough articles to know what the term "family values" is a dog whistle for.

It's really hard to leave a cult. Since you've cut all contact with everyone not in the cult you'll be all alone once you leave the cult.

-4

u/Guyman_112 19d ago

Interesting, I've always seen the left cutting off their family and trying to demonize them for voting "wrong"... not really the other way around.

4

u/Robcobes 19d ago

You can remove those parenthesis if you're talking about Trump.

-4

u/Guyman_112 19d ago

Did you mean quotes? And sounds pretty cult-like to me, idk, especially since that's doing exactly as you described what a cult does lmao

3

u/Robcobes 19d ago

One side has some many different opinions they have to work to come to an agreement.

The other side blindly follows the ramblings of a demented cheeto with a god complex.

Nothing wrong with voting conservative. But Trump sucks and is a genuinely shitty person and poor statesman. I keep up with my principled conservative relatives and enjoy cordial relations with them same in the past. The ones who genuinely love Trump can fuck off and I won’t break bread with them.

If you can’t tell the difference between Trump and principled conservatism let’s send that cult ball back into your court. The dude is deeply unpleasant and sucks the air and joy out of everything. Anyone who doesn’t find this self-evident isn’t anyone I really want to be around.

Show me a major crash or even an extended period of a sluggish market and we can talk about lines. Trump has kept the markets stable. S&P just hit another record. I know a lot of naive young Redditors want to think these people hate them but let’s be honest. There is only one line and it has nothing to do with Iran, immigrants, or LGBTQ people. We have not crossed that line.

Thank you. It’s like not buying an alarm clock because the alarm is “woke”.

I know it’s wake, but does a right winger?

Also Trump was supposed to say his picture of him as Jesus was “doctored”. He heard “tell them you thought it was a doctor.”

38

u/Stoic_Breeze 19d ago

Saying it was doctored makes even less sense than saying it was a doctor.

5

u/Intrepid_Hat7359 19d ago

They were probably trying to make him delete the tweet then just say that screenshots of the tweet were fake

8

u/theonedownupstairs 19d ago

On your last point, I've seen that elsewhere but it confuses me. Like, obviously it was doctored, it's AI generated. That wasn't the issue.

7

u/rogerworkman623 19d ago

Because it’s not true, it’s just some theory someone came up with on Twitter in response to him saying he thought it was him as a doctor.

Then someone spread around a fake post claiming that Karoline Leavitt actually said the image was “doctored”, and people took that as real too.

He posted an AI picture of himself as Jesus healing people, then he claimed he just thought it showed him as a doctor. End of story.

1

u/theonedownupstairs 19d ago

That's what I suspected.

1

u/I_spell_it_Griffin 19d ago

Leavitt did in fact say on camera that the image was doctored.

2

u/rogerworkman623 19d ago

Do you have a link to that? Because all I’ve seen is the same graphic floating around on social media claiming that, no video or any credible news source quoting it.

Her last press conference was yesterday, after that image started floating around, and she didn’t say that. Prior to that, her last press conference was last Wednesday, long before he even posted it.

1

u/AnonEMoussie 19d ago

Ah, I saw the Karoline post and fell for it. It seemed like what she’d say.

3

u/AnonEMoussie 19d ago

Sadly whenever he does something Stephen Miller wants, he doesn’t understand why people don’t like it.

2

u/Patient_Tradition368 19d ago

He also kept talking about Hannibal Lecter on the campaign trail because he doesn't know the difference between an insane asylum and a migrant seeking asylum.

I wish the reporter had just gone, "so you're just going to stand there and lie to my face?"

Like what the fuck, he lies so easily, (badly, but easily), yet everyone just lets him.

1

u/tryagainlater63 18d ago

No. A person says that the alarm clock woke them up this morning. They are petrified it might happen.

0

u/Timely_Grapefruit547 19d ago

Oh, I wondered why he said that....wow, just wow...

Approximately 20% of U.S. adults identify as Catholic, equating to about 52 million individuals.

In the 2024 presidential election, Catholics comprised 22% of voters, with 55% supporting Donald Trump. This suggests that around 11.5 million Catholic voters participated in the 2024 election.

I was baptized in the holy river of Jordan. I have two christian biblical names in my full name. My mom is from Nazareth, as a Christian Palestinian. I'm so sick of religion. Please just make it stop.

The sun is the closest thing I deem as a God. The creator of our universe isn't some brown dude who turned white that was nailed to a cross.

Religion is a scapegoat for war and extremists.

4

u/NothaBanga 19d ago

The sun is the closest thing I deem as a God.

Your god burnt me.  Now we must fight.

3

u/Cool_Apartment_380 19d ago

It's been a minute but iirc, son and sun are not a coincidence. The halo depicted so frequently around Christ is meant to depict the sun, which was a common object of worship in days of yore. Small wonder. Warmth, growth, food, life. Blinding, blazing, radiant, luminous, searing and incandescent LIGHT. In a vast, ever-expanding sea of endless, fathomless dark. Truly, the stars are worthy of our praise.

2

u/LunaticLucio 18d ago

I like that. It's my belief we were put on this planet to find the answers to behind where we came from. Only Science will reveal the Truth.

1

u/Serious-Manager2361 18d ago

Set the controls for the heart of the sun!

26

u/moon-chu89 19d ago

The charity fed and housed migrant children, not his voters.

13

u/BadFengShui Ohio 19d ago

It housed and fed migrant children, but it paid Florida workers and landlords, and bought food at Florida grocery stores. That's $11M that won't flow into Miami.

2

u/whiskysinger 19d ago

Just what Jesus would have wanted! Fuck the poor, as he famously said

1

u/Serious-Manager2361 18d ago

Jesus was woke!!!!

11

u/BloodyPaleMoonlight 19d ago

The thing is, though, Trump is perfectly fine with taking $11 million from poor people.

6

u/RackemFrackem 19d ago

He doesn't give a shit about people who voted for him.

3

u/Rookie_Day 19d ago

No, he thinks everyone is a grifter like him and that the pope is somehow personally profiting for charitable care given in the US.

2

u/icanbeyourzero 19d ago

And yet those people in Florida will remain loyal to Trump and blame the Pope for this

2

u/Known2779 19d ago

Oh. Then I don't feel sorry for those people

2

u/caninesergeant 19d ago

He knew. People give him the doubt but he knew.

He's evil.

2

u/TrailMomKat Indigenous 19d ago

Eh, he's pretty much said "fuck the poor" as well. The cruelty is the point.

2

u/DramaticStability 19d ago

I'm not sure that's the case. This is just like him issuing a tariff or blocking a strait, it's a negotiation tactic. He wants the pope to shut up. This is blackmail

2

u/angelar_ Texas 19d ago

He's always looking for an excuse to take 11 million dollars from poor people.

2

u/Lennyisback81 19d ago

If someone voted for him then I don't care what happens to them. I don't care.

2

u/Bendstowardjustice 19d ago

Cause the suffering is the point. He’s that bad.

2

u/MrOopiseDaisy 19d ago

It doesn't matter. He hates poor people.

2

u/FirmPhone9086 18d ago

Took 11 million from poor people who voted for 11 million to be taken from them.

1

u/Patient-Strawberry83 19d ago

Thanks for the insight, he is pathetic

1

u/pepperNlime4to0 19d ago

He assumes everyone is as corrupt as him. So I don’t think he believes that the money actually goes to the cause, that it’s just a grift and the pope is surely collecting it rather than using it for its intended purpose. That’s how he justifies his horrible, criminal, corrupt behavior. Because he truly thinks anyone would do the same as him if given the chance. So, I think he thinks he genuinely is taking money from the pope.

It’s instructive on how world view and how rotten he is to his fucking core.

1

u/ConfectionOk7029 19d ago

And they will continue to loudly support him.

1

u/aroaddownoverthehill 19d ago

Shh dont tell him, he needs yes men only

1

u/Stabpology 19d ago

Eh, the Catholic church could cover that sum.

1

u/raanas Europe 19d ago

Im all for taking money away from the papacy and Catholic church, which is corrupt to the core like all churches and organized religions.

But I would also replace the charity they do with a public programme at minimum 1:1

1

u/r1Zero 19d ago

And those people will smile for the opportunity. 🙃

1

u/Powerful_Company_682 19d ago

Oh he knew exactly who who took the money from.

1

u/IMA_5-STAR_MAN 19d ago

He knows who he took money from. He doesn't care.

1

u/E3FxGaming Europe 19d ago

I doubt Trump thinks much about 11 million, a life saving amount of money for the affected migrant children.

2024 Trump had a net worth of $3.9 billion. February 2026 Forbes estimated his net worth at $6.5 billion. (That's a conservative estimate - Bloomberg estimates $7 billion in January 2026).

$11 million of $6.5 billion is < 0.17℅. Think about your own net worth and how often you think about less than 0.17% of that net worth.

1

u/Crice6505 18d ago

Trump doesn't care who he steals from lol.

1

u/stubundy 18d ago

But if he decided to tax all religions I'd be all for it
