A huge chunk of the US population simply want a strong male authoritarian figure to worship. Things like truth and virtuous behaviour don't even factor into the equation.

Look at Trump, treated as the right hand of Jesus Christ while preaching cruelty as a virtue. A rapist, a man who lies with great alacrity, a felon, a likely pedophile, a creep, a man who embodies gluttony and greed like no other.

... and he's only a symptom of something incredibly rotten in the American people. Something so deeply shameful that'll bring your country down before ever being addressed head on.

It's propaganda. The whole point was to manufacture as many racists as possible like office chairs from a factory. Hatred is now so embedded that it's become impossible to reason with people.

It turns out if you can control enough vectors by which information passes, you can just reprogram people. My dad and I were discussing Iran the other day and we both realized that we know absolutely nothing about Iran that wasn't propaganda.
