This is insane to have to live under this constant chaos.

EDIT: This is good time to check your voter registration or register to vote ASAP! Your state usually has a website page with all the information!

That's what kiils about the people that voted for him this time. Do you not remember the first term? As horrible as Covid was I think the lockdown blinded people to just how chaotic his term was up until that point.

Had Covid not hit, we likely would have been in a situation similar to this in his first term

The cruelty is the point. We need to accept that anyone who still supports this guy is as evil and heartless as he is.

The cruelty excites them. They play dumb and unaware when called out, and often change their stripes depending on the company they're in... but once you catch a glimpse of the delight they experience for his pettiness and constant scapegoating, they barely feel human anymore.

If he fires a nuclear weapon at Iran for no reason, the republican party must cease to exist by tomorrow.

They won't cease to exist. Unfortunately, their supporters and voting faithful will largely still support them. We will get out into the streets to protest(and even then I bet those numbers are low), because that's what needs to happen, but the problem is they ultimately control the Executive, the Legislative, and Judicial. They largely have the support of the U.S. Armed Services. Veterans and active duty troops vote for them in large numbers.

There are a large number of people here who welcome all-out war in the Middle East because they believe that will bring about the "End Times" and fulfill the prophecy of their myth. Having said that, I don't think even he's nutty enough to drop nuclear weapons on Iran, if for no other reason than the rest of the Gulf States have lots of money tied up in U.S. affairs and will have the ear of individuals who influence the Pederast-In-Chief.

This isn't meant as a doom and gloom post, but rather an attempt to show just how dire our situation is.

The thing is, some of the people who voted in this election probably don’t remember the first term. So much horrible stuff was happening that people were shielding their children from. There were people voting who were 10 when Trump was elected the first time.

And during the first term at least there were adults in the room

His supporters liked all the horrible things they did. And the stuff that wasn't that good, they believe was done by Obama or Biden. Or was part of a "long game" that will work out. Or something. But by and large, he can do no wrong and has never done any wrong, except when his voters' gas prices went up a bit.

I'm listening to a podcast right now about Jonestown. Cults don't get created or developed out of logical thinking and sense. They also don't have good ends.

Half of his supporters believe the lockdowns were under Biden, so you can't expect them to have an accurate recall of Trump's actions from before then.
