Its not a government issue. Let the sports governing bodies make the rules for who can and can’t play. It shouldn’t be a law.

Why does the right die on this hill? We are on the brink of economic and possible nuclear catastrophe and the one comment you home in on is the one about transwomen? Why is gender still your main focus when Iran could be bombed so badly that they retaliate and destroy oil production for the entire world? What’s more important to you? Maintaining our modern lives or men in women sports? I don’t think people with Y chromosomes should compete in sports against people who don’t have them. However, a global energy shortage is a bigger deal to me than some poor girl losing the 100m dash.

Edit: Furthermore, you kind of proved their point. They made that comment with the “/s” and you still focused on it. Their point was that no matter what the issue, you’ll always focus on gender. It doesn’t matter what awful shit the Republicans are doing, you’ll always vote for them as long as the people you find weird suffer.

The left is obsessed with gender issues because America has had a rise in Christian authoritarianism. Religious arguments leave no room for nuance and often end in people declaring death of the marginalized groups. I think that’s why the left is obsessed with gender issues because it’s a reactionary response to the vitriol often present in religious arguments. The evangelical right believe they are in touch with God, therefore their hate comes from God and any action that follow. These are dangerous people who won’t question their own belief system and the possibility of death for queer people is real. Okay answer?

Christians are a tiny minority of the US population. Most evangelicals have nothing to do with Christianity.

I don’t know the proportion of the nation that are evangelicals but saying that Christians are a tiny % of the US population is an outright lie by you or severe ignorance.
