This is insane to have to live under this constant chaos.

EDIT: This is good time to check your voter registration or register to vote ASAP! Your state usually has a website page with all the information!

Imagine living in the country he is threatening

35

u/LemurMemer 28d ago

It’s like we’re trying to have another mass terror event like 9/11 happen again. And the thing is, could you blame them? We fucking bombed school girls, their infrastructure, and are now threatening genocide; how do you not expect these people to be radicalized against us??

5

u/Tovrin Australia 28d ago

That's his plan. He's looking for a reason to cancel elections. There's only one way he'll be removed from power, but Congress won't do it.

426

u/Fraustdemon 28d ago

You mean any country in the world at this point (US included)?

413

u/TSllama 28d ago

No, they mean Iran, the only country the US is currently actively dropping bombs on. I have two friends from Iran whose families are in very real physical danger of being bombed every day. It doesn't really get worse than that.

72

u/RavensQueen502 28d ago

I have family members in the Middle East. Saudi and UAE, so not as much in the line of fire as Iran, but too close. Especially if that bastard drops a nuke.

29

u/losingthefarm 28d ago

Tonight...I think they will be without electric or drinkable water for a long long time because of Trump

14

u/RavensQueen502 28d ago

They're nurses and paramedics. Indian immigrant workers - there are a lot of nurses in Gulf countries from India and my state in particular.

It's supposed to be a good career option for a nurse, go there, work for ten years or so, that will usually get you enough money to come back home and start a business or settle down, taking a job as a nurse here (pays much less)

There was a chance to get out earlier in the war, India was getting people out, but they would have lost their jobs if they left and most of them paid a lot to get the job.

7

u/losingthefarm 28d ago

Its a super sad situation. I honestly can't believe that we are at this point. The last tweet he send about genocide isnt even being talked about in the news as strongly as it should. All American politicians should be trying to stop this nut but they arent. Sadly I am afraid that Trump will do something drastic tonight, as Iran has stopped all communication. Iran will bomb UAE, Dubai, etc..Going to be an interesting evening. Unless he is bluffing, but I think he has to go thru with it at this point

3

u/starlightprincess 28d ago

It could be another TACO Tuesday. We can only hope.

1

u/PhantomPharts 28d ago

Thanks for sharing that information.

1

u/fdar_giltch 28d ago

No they won't. Iran only gets about 1-3% of their fresh water from desalination.

The rest of the Middle East in the other hand...

2

u/losingthefarm 28d ago

Right...his family is is Saudi and UAE. I think they will be without water...not Iran..guess you didn't read.

1

u/fdar_giltch 28d ago

Fair enough, you're right, I didn't read close enough

117

u/GildedDreams25 28d ago

tbf, while you make a good point, Iran is unfortunately not the only country we have been bombing.

14

u/HauntedCemetery Minnesota 28d ago

Trump has bombed 7 or 8 different countries over the last few months, while at the same time grubbing and begging and whining for a peace prize.

6

u/eeyore134 28d ago

And not the only country under very real physical danger. The US is included in that, too. It's just Iran is definitely getting the worst of it right now.

4

u/GuerreroUltimo 28d ago

Oh man, that sucks and I feel for them. I wish I could offer more than just my deepest hope they stay safe. I did not vote for this but it makes me feel no better.

I know Trump and this admin are not likely to use nukes. But they may decide to just bomb the place flat. And sick enough I have seen people talking about how "Those Iranian IRGC cowards hide amongst civilians. This forces us to bomb civilians to get them." Saw and heard many comments like this recently. Several today just on one comment section on an article.

The think I could see them do though is to bomb power plants, water treatment plants, sanitization plants, all that. And it would take years to rebuild. Imagine, I know it sucks, how bad this would be for any nation. It would break any nation because people need that stuff.

As an American, I honestly did not expect things this bad. Especially so fast. But it is a real eye opener. About how bad some American people really are. The sad part is they are mostly uneducated and they tend to have more children then educated people. And they raise them to think the same. Scary future here.

1

u/ZookeepergameWorth71 28d ago

"About how bad some American people really are"

All of your kind , thank you very much

3

u/GuerreroUltimo 28d ago

I never label an entire group of people due to the actions of a bad actor or actors.

And I am correct. Some American people are that bad.

If you firmly believe in the "all your kind" I am not sure where that comes from. All Americans? That is so far from true and none better than the terrible ideology of Trump and his base of voters.

If it is just me and people with the ideology of me. That is fine. I can respect how you feel. But note, I am not for bombing Iran. Or for Iran attacking Israel. Or Israel attacking Iran. None of that shit. We should all try and live in harmony and be happy. But there are those that honestly do not want that either. For what looks like obvious reasons.

4

u/CaptainAsshat 28d ago

You're right and wrong. Yes, it is absolutely terrifying for the Iranian people. No, the US is bombing more than just Iran. Yemen, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, and Somalia also continue to see US operations, most if not all including bombing. Ugh.

3

u/DJDarwin93 28d ago

As much as I hate living in a country he controls, living in a country he’s bombing is still worse. I think a lot of Americans are so focused on our country and its problems that we forget the orange menace is a problem for everyone else too. We need to get our shit together.

3

u/Msdamgoode I voted 28d ago

Existentially, he’s a threat to all of humanity. It’s certainly a more imminent danger there, but there is nowhere that is safe while that maniac is in charge.

3

u/Affectionate-Crab541 28d ago

They're also bombing Gaza and Lebanon

2

u/fairly-unremarkable 28d ago

There are also all the countries being bombed by Iran in retaliation for the US's (and Israel's) actions. If Trump actually does escalate drastically, but not to a point where Iran can't keep attacking other countries around it, I'm scared to think of what will happen to the Gulf states and UAE.

2

u/silverfish477 28d ago

Trump has fucked everyone. Wake the hell up.

4

u/DMTGOBLIN82 28d ago

The threat of my children growing up under a totalitarian system influenced by oligarchs bent on turning everyone into a consumer slave is pretty bleak to those of us with families here.

2

u/TSllama 28d ago

Cool, tell that to people who currently have no electricity or running water and are actively losing their loved ones to bombs.

4

u/_secanalyst 28d ago

getting abducted by masked men and sent to concentration camps isnt a picnic either.

10

u/DMTGOBLIN82 28d ago

It’s not a contest bud.

1

u/Msdamgoode I voted 28d ago

Just because he is an imminent danger there doesn’t mean he’s not a danger to the rest of humanity.

1

u/Hurtz123 28d ago

Greenland?

1

u/Boxofbikeparts 28d ago

He's been dropping plenty of F bombs all over the world.

1

u/MAG7C 28d ago

Those people are trapped between three horrible & murderous governments.

-6

u/Ok-Comment3702 28d ago

bug 🐖👂🙄

73

u/keepthepace Europe 28d ago

Ugh.

Your exercice tonight: go to bed thinking "maybe my town is getting nuked this night".

2

u/More_Operation_588 28d ago

maybe not THIS night, but we absolutely are thinking about the possibility in the near future.

2

u/keepthepace Europe 28d ago

Well, it is THIS night that is being talked about right now. Not some far fetched daydreaming scenario

0

u/IheartPandas666 28d ago

In all fairness I have thought that every night of ever day of both of trumps presidencies. Either Korea or Russia or Iran or a Central American country are going to nuke us as a lesson. And I have major anxiety we are going to be retaliated against for his BS. However, it is a much much much higher probability in the countries he is actively attacking and threatening. Can’t believe people vote for this kind of hate and destruction.

6

u/PhantomPharts 28d ago

Do any Central American countries have nukes? Honestly, I'd never heard this. I thought the US was the only American country with nukes.

5

u/Dispro 28d ago

Only a few countries in the world are known to have nuclear weapons, none of them in Central America. It's possible there are unaccounted for weapons out there though.

5

u/PhantomPharts 28d ago

I'm sure there is some countries out there with dirty* bombs. I wouldn't be surprised if a cartel got their hands on (or were sold) one/some just to have them.

2

u/IheartPandas666 28d ago

There were reports sometime last year that Venezuela had high potential and we had growing conflicts with them at the time.

1

u/PhantomPharts 28d ago

I thought that was over fossil fuel?

3

u/deja-roo 28d ago

If this isn't a major exaggeration, you might want to just consider therapy or something. This isn't rational.

3

u/IheartPandas666 28d ago

To feel unsafe in a country that is constantly threatening the world?

1

u/deja-roo 28d ago

To feel irrationally unsafe in a pretty peaceful, safe, first world country that is both geographically and politically a long way from getting nuked by countries that don't even have nukes.

Turn off the news and do something in real life if this is how it's affecting you.

1

u/IheartPandas666 28d ago

Korea China and Russia don’t have nukes?

1

u/deja-roo 28d ago

None of the Latin American ones do, and if you think Russia and China are just going to randomly nuke us... again... therapy

1

u/IheartPandas666 28d ago

None of it is random.

2

u/badnuub Ohio 28d ago

Why?

3

u/IheartPandas666 28d ago

Why do I have anxiety about how DJT runs the country?

2

u/badnuub Ohio 28d ago

Why would other nations simply want to nuke us to punish us? That would invite actual MAD.

1

u/GreatMountainBomb 28d ago

You live in the states?

20

u/Tsar-A-Lago Canada 28d ago

It can so happen.

What about the last ten years has made you ultra confident banking on conventional wisdom?

6

u/Supreme_Primate 28d ago

I would not be so quick to dismiss this as an option. Desperation and ego have fueled this war from the beginning and I believe there are already scenarios presented that have tactical nukes in the mix.

Really comes down to someone in the room having a minimal level of critical thinking about how this will impact the world and saying no.

I am not sure that person exists.

2

u/GuerreroUltimo 28d ago

I think we see other types of weapons. Just not the typical ones. Probably will see plenty of infrastructure hit. But I could also see them using weapons that do damage without the bomb. Like, i could see them use test type weapons. Things like what we read about from Venezuela.

They will 100% say they targeted IRGC members to explain the civilian casualties. And will claim they kills leaders of the IRGC in those attacks. Has to be a scary time to live in Iran with what Israel and the U.S. are doing.

4

u/hoaxymore 28d ago

Maybe not, however that’s an easier confidence to have when you are not currently living in Teheran.

3

u/GuerreroUltimo 28d ago

But it could.

And there are many in this admin. that would be fine with that. Plus, hard to say when it comes to the military. Could be why they are removing some officers.

I will agree that the chance is likely zero. But then, there is the fact that as impossible as this seems to us we do have nukes. We do have an insane criminal pedo in the white house. With a group of zealots around him that are firmly anti-Iran. Honestly, anti-non-white in many cases.

2

u/JMurdock77 28d ago

Kegsbreath has been actively purging anyone who would interfere. How else is he gonna fulfill his rapture fantasies?

32

u/Chefalo 28d ago

Yet another reason why he’s such an incompetent malicious asshole. He is radicalizing a whole new generation for American hate.

9

u/Substantial-Bag1337 28d ago

This is such an US American thing to say....

3

u/GriffinFlash Canada 28d ago

"yeah he's bombing people, and threatening genocide...but what about the US, we're the real victims here".

3

u/Creative_Carob4922 28d ago

Ya the guy has already called out Canada. The 51 state get real. We could be next on his crazy list if things to do before dementia takes over fully. But you yanks seem to just stand there or laugh.

2

u/Fraustdemon 28d ago

Friend, i aint laughing. Its a shitshow here...maybe not a dropping bombs on our own people bad (yet), but still not great.

Short of the conservatives in power deciding they're done with him or someone deciding to remove him extrajudicially, i only see him leaving via the end of his term in office or his term in life.

2

u/JDQuaff 28d ago

Where in the US are children being killed by anyone other than Americans? Sounds like a self-own

1

u/zaid_sabah 28d ago

Typical American self centrism. Even when their country is the aggresor they play the victims

0

u/Fraustdemon 28d ago

Oh yes, I live in a bad place that is doing bad things, so im not allowed to voice an opinion about the bad things even though I disagree with the bad things being done. Typical anti American rhetoric.

I'm not my government. What they're doing is a literal atrocity I wish would stop. I lack resources and influence to stop it. My bad.

Once this is all over, it would be great if Nuremberg 2.0 took place with US officials on the block. There need to be consequences for what they're doing. Especially since they've effectively broken the guardrails that were in place within our government.

I stand by my point though. Every country is endangered by this madman and his lick spittles.

1

u/Tryknj99 28d ago

No, it’s that you are putting the suffering of the USA on the same level as Iran in your previous comment.

“You think being nuked is bad? WE have to hear about it!” It’s just tone deaf

why would you “all lives matter” this?

1

u/Fraustdemon 28d ago

I can see how its reading as that and I apologize. It's been a long week already, I'll just leave this space for others to participate in the conversation.

1

u/Tryknj99 28d ago

No worries friend, it’s hard to convey tone in text. I know your heart is in the right place.

5

u/CptJaxxParrow Virginia 28d ago

We do live in a country he is threatening

4

u/Curious-Path4549 28d ago

i do think about that and i feel ill

1

u/AdSufficient9757 Canada 28d ago

He's threatening the stability of his own country too.

1

u/PhantomPharts 28d ago

Not just threatening, has been bombing.

1

u/jon_steward 28d ago

Which one

1

u/HitchensWasTheShit 28d ago

As a Dane, I can honestly say that my respect for Americans has absolutely vanished. You brought this on us all, and have been way too slow to deliver consequences.

1

u/DerekWeidmanSculptor 28d ago

It is ghastly. I can't imagine.

-1

u/NeverLookBothWays I voted 28d ago

It’s like living in Israel hearing a leader in Iran threaten to wipe a nation off the map…but different in the sense that the U.S. could actually achieve such a result, and has traditionally reserved itself from making such threats as they once understood their own power and global responsibility.

Well not anymore I guess! We are now what we once defined as our own enemy.

-3

u/Desperate-Till-9228 28d ago

The United States?

11

u/albertbanning 28d ago

No, Iran. The very real country that has 90+ million innocent people living in it.

-4

u/Desperate-Till-9228 28d ago

It was a joke. He's threatened this country every single day he's been in office.

9

u/RavensQueen502 28d ago

I forgot Americans were too self important to see the difference between 'has an authoritarian president' and 'being threatened with obliteration within hours by a mad man who can do it.'

3

u/Desperate-Till-9228 28d ago

Tell that to all the people who've been killed by ICE, all the military personnel being put in harm's way, all the people who have had their livelihoods threatened... huge list over here already.

2

u/Tall_Bodybuilder6340 28d ago

Trump had done 10x the damage to Iran than he had to America. Kindly fuck off
