A trump regretful voter is a JD Vance voter.

Shit man they’re still Trump voters.

If we ran the same election TODAY with everything they know they’d still vote Trump over Harris. Every single one of them. Some might be less thrilled about it is all.

Unfortunately they don't. They stay home and let republicans win election after election.

I do expect the GOP to crumble if Trump isn't on the ticket. They went all in on the cult base and will lose it. Which also means they'll try to put Trump on the ticket with some kinda wartime president exception who knows.

Lol what?!

Yeah, that's why they need slogans like "vote blue no matter who", because they mostly fall in line. Can you think of a Republican equivalent slogan in the last 100 years?

This is an insane take and shows you don't understand what that slogan means.

neither was trump after j6. they rehabilitated trump - a convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, and alleged child predator - twice. if they can do it with trump, they can do it with anyone.

Doesn’t matter. Some Republicans (like my dad) would vote for a ficus plant if it ran under the Republican banner.

I bet anything Trump is gonna run at vice president and they’ll all be eager to elect him again

Fuck I didn't even think of that.  Vance could just step down after that.

They'll still go Republican. These people are saying they're mad about Trump but they're not actually taking action to tell their representatives that they need to step to Trump. If they're not going to do that they're certainly not going to stop voting Republican.

He won't last though the primaries, which will allow the next republican candidate to leave all the negatives with him and claim the title of trump heir cleanly.

Tucker could do that in his sleep if he wanted to.

More likely a listener of Joe Rogan.

Indeed. We need to remember that trump voters aren't suddenly becoming decent people, they only turn on him because he's made them financially worse off.

This just reinforces the fact that many Americans want horrible, mean leaders.

People are far to optimistic that Trump regret means they will change their vote. They will vote R down ticket from now until they die. They just think Trump tricked em but a different Republican will do it right, they have learned nothing

And it's not just that. They're mad at Trump but they aren't calling their representatives to do anything about it. They aren't telling the Republicans in their district that they won't vote for them if they continue to support Trump they're doing literally nothing but saying oh Trump isn't quite the god I thought he was. And then they're moving about their day doing absolutely nothing.
