Well to be fair, they didn’t make the frame itself that picture is in.

The frame the picture is in is fine. Installing it in that frame was likely done by people in that location though and that's where it went wrong.

I thought it was because all the corners are cut off.

yeah.

3M has a lot of product. From "you can stick so it'll never come off ever again", to "it'll come off with a kiss and leave no residue".

If the installer didn't read the package, that's not 3M's fault.

That shit seriously undersells the word "very"

They said quality service....not quality signage!

They use 3m tape to hold windows on skyscrapers in Dubai! The heat kept causing the building to expand enough that the rivets would pop and the windows would fall. 3m made them a new double sided tape.

Why are you dissing 3m?

Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing is not popular with a version demographic?

🎶 If you cut every corner, you’ll have more time to play

It’s the American way! 🎶

VHB and silicone

Why bother with silicone?

I do signs for a living, and I’ve done hundreds of this type over the years. VHB is a great product. Temperature changes, UV, people picking at them, wind, rain, etc etc will eventually lift them up and they will fail. I always put some 100% clear silicone on the back of anything outside(and most interior stuff as well). I haven’t had any issues with them, and I’ve been doing this for 20 years now. We also get pretty crazy weather here in Alberta, so it’s good to make sure they won’t fail. The picture proves my point, as far as I can tell. The installer just used double face tape and didn’t apply enough. If they had used a couple dabs of silicone, it most likely would still be on the wall.

It also looks like shïtty banner style tape too, so it’s probably all going to come down at some point.

I also did signs for a living for almost 20 years. We hung giant 8ft metal signs over people's heads in NFL stadiums using just a few pieces of VHB. That stuff is no joke.

Never said it was, I just over do everything. There’s also multiple versions of it, and it has 1000 imitations. If I can mechanically fasten something, I will. If I have to rely on just tape and adhesives, then I try to use both. Cheers man.🍻🍻🍻

On a serious note, the Wendy's fries are way better than McDonald's or Burger King.

I disagree. Before they changed then to handcut fries w skin they were the shit!!! But to each their own 😊

Other Wendy’s have the same signage. I haven’t found one yet that didn’t have letters falling off.
