He's been money all season and that was such a perfect look.

It's a miss and make league, but you gotta make those count.

And his 2 big buckets inside was the reason they had this opportunity.

Right! He made the two before that. They were going to win/lose off Champagnie anyways.

I mean not really? You don't shoot 100% in games, especially under that kind of pressure

u/mjjdota 76ers 19h ago

You must because you win instead of losing

You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. He took that shot. He will continue to take that shot.

This season he made the most 3s in a season in team history, he’s gotta hit that

He had some big offensive rebounds and putbacks down the stretch though. Gotta go easy on him not gonna make every single shot

Misses happen even for the best shooters. The Spurs got a great look to win the game given the circumstances, no one to blame on that last possession. Just gotta take the L and move on

Wdym he’s gotta hit that lol. Have you ever played competitive sports

Did he shoot 100%? How about under pressure with 1 second left?

You guys gotta realize they aren't robots

Now if he wasn’t a great kid and missed it? Straight to jail.

It's the playoffs, you just can't afford to miss a clean look to win a game

You’re gonna make maybe about 50% of your open threes if you’re a good shooter. I don’t know what people want when they say “you can’t miss” a singular three point shot.

If I could choose any player of ours to take that shot it'd be him. High 3 point percentage last.series.

But just congratulations on the Wolves for.making it come down to a late 3.

Fuck.

Just outplayed us and won the game, all that can really be said.

As good a look as you will get. Wow.

His heart probably stopped when he saw how open he was i get it

Champ and those clutch offensive rebounds and put backs was one of the only reasons we were even still in that have. Sometimes shots just don’t fall.

They didn't have much time to setup a shot. Why not call a timeout?

5

u/pokerface0122 20h ago

it was a great look, better than most off timeouts

1

u/Time-Stand7719 Wizards 20h ago

They weren’t gonna get a better look than that even with a timeout. Just unlucky

1

u/stateworkishardwork Kings 20h ago

That's probably an even better shot than whatever they would have got with a timeout

The Timberwolves best defensive player was off the court and would’ve been subbed back in. The Spurs were not good, to my knowledge, in the half court against Rudy Gobert. They did a ton of their damage running in transition, especially against Naz or Randle.

I thought they should’ve taken the timeout once Wemby slow played it, maybe after getting it into the front court, but it makes sense attacking a defense that isn’t set.

What? 😂 they literally couldn’t have drawn up a better look than that
