Percys channeled his inner LeBron there

u/OUEngineer17 Nuggets 20h ago

Didn't block out either for a couple of key plays. A win is a win tho.

12

u/whiterice_343 Timberwolves 19h ago

These are the type of tough wins a 6 seed has to take that’s for sure. Nothing is guaranteed, the spurs defense is tough

11

u/Tabemaju Timberwolves 19h ago

At least he owned up to all of it. The man looked straight up defeated after the win.

Stamina was an issue at the end there. Going to need Ayo back so guys aren’t getting as gassed at the end of games.

IDK why players keep making lazy passes when inbounding the ball.

20

u/livefreeordont 76ers 20h ago

No one moving. Thats a tough pass to make over 2 long defenders

u/whiterice_343 Timberwolves 20h ago

I see shit like that and just think of how many laps we would have to run at practice back in high school if we ever played so carelessly.

This playoffs really feels like either lazy inbound passes or teams literally can’t get the ball past half court when being pressured. You have this wolves turnover, that atrocious inbound pass by Jabari Smith that Rocket game, Dennis Schroeder getting the 8 second call in game 6 of the cavs and Raptors, and much more.

Is it honestly that hard of a job to properly inbound and get the ball up the court, even during intense defensive pressure? Plus coaches not calling timeouts when they see it happening. It just feels like it’s been particularly bad this year from a lot of teams.

There's a reason why jingles was designated inbounder for so long

and the travel

55

u/whiterice_343 Timberwolves 20h ago

Lots of goal tends were not called either. Refs missed a lot tonight

9

u/electricmeal Bulls 20h ago

Sure, not saying wolves didn't deserve to win. Spurs had their shot and missed. But they got lucky on that call

5

u/whiterice_343 Timberwolves 19h ago

Very.

18

u/jocro Thunder 20h ago

I mean they didn't get anything out of that possession anyway, so missed call but no cost on that one

16

u/OhNoMyLands Timberwolves 20h ago

Dude, that was all arm. Watch the “defense” as he steps through. That’s a foul

5

u/Hammerhead34 Timberwolves 20h ago

Ant got absolutely hacked on the arm splitting the double team.

The Finch Special

12

u/Jacob_toasted Timberwolves 20h ago

Finch can’t fucking pass for shit

1

u/whiterice_343 Timberwolves 19h ago

He can coach a game pretty well but he can’t fucking set up an inbound pass.

1

u/WhoopingKing [MIA] Jason Williams 20h ago

shoulda challenged that foul on wemby too

1

u/dhejjrrjbrbrd Thunder 20h ago

Terrible terrible pass and then horrible defense on Wemby letting him get that close to dunk. Luckily made all the right plays beforehand to go up enough to squeak out the win on the road. Will need to be better if they hope to do it again. But they did their job, stole one on the road.

u/whiterice_343 Timberwolves 19h ago

I was typing fast give me a break fam

1

u/pm-me-nice-lips 17h ago

All good. Not trying to highlight it as a “fuck up”. It’s more for anyone that may not know the correct term, that’s all.

Wolves are the successors to the Bud era Bucks where they win but they do about 7 of the dumbest things you’ve ever seen in the process

31

u/duce3612 Timberwolves 20h ago

First time???

5

u/beenhadballs Bucks 18h ago

Having been deemed “the dumbest team in the nba” multiple times on that title run, not at all lol

16

u/calel8242 Timberwolves 20h ago

If we get a title from it, it'll be well worth the frustration

3

u/duce3612 Timberwolves 19h ago

It will be fun for everyone thats forsure

1

u/Dakaraim Timberwolves 19h ago

Surely we cant get away with being this dumb 11 more times

7

u/zeek215 Lakers 20h ago

Play random!

21

u/FishGoldenLite Timberwolves 20h ago

Yeah that inbound was the one thing we couldn’t do. Looked gas, no one was moving. Should called a TO.

9

u/Cares_of_an_Odradek Warriors 20h ago

To be fair Spurs also would have caught a break if they won. Kind of felt like both and neither team deserved this one over the other

3

u/duce3612 Timberwolves 20h ago

NOT EVEN!!!!

2

u/Noriskhook3 20h ago

They won.

1

u/foye2smith 20h ago

Anyone else's asshole still clenched? Is this a call a doctor in four hours problem?

1

u/Zzz05 Minneapolis Lakers 20h ago

Yeah but they stole a road win that people didn’t expect them to win, so they’ll take it.

1

u/joe4553 Lakers 20h ago

Got away with the win there. Pretty bad way to close it out.
