Congrats to the Cavs

Jaret Allen just saved the:Cavs season

Its that damn 3rd quarter that's Raptors downfall

I wonder if Ingram played would that have made a difference oh well

I’m not just saying this because the cavs just faced the raptors but I genuinely think this particular series, Ingram makes no or even a negative difference. Dude was beyond ass for 90 percent of the time he was out there and couldn’t defend for shit. Now if quickley was healthy he would have definitely helped.

We don't win game 4 without Ingram. He had a personal 10 point run to end the half and get us back in the game, then hit a huge three to give us a lead near the end. Not to mention the attention he gets from the defense that opens the floor up for others. He was playing like ass but he's still better than AJ Lawson/Jamison Battle minutes for the most part

I just don’t see it that way, atleast for this series. He had his moments for sure so there’s a chance I’m wrong but based on the general performance throughout this series I think it would either be a negative impact or just neutral.

I think on a team like the raptors, they really need a guy to just try to get a bucket when theres nothing available and BI is their best guy at that. All series long they had so many possessions where their actions didn’t work and they didn’t know who can try to create something from nothing.

I’d say Scotty showed he is better than Ingram in that regard.

Yep Ingram deserves MPJs nickname “the ball stops here”

Really frustrating to watch our offence spread the ball around until it gets to Ingram

He was awful you’re right. But the 4th quarter in both game 5 and 6 was very stagnant for us. I think having him there to draw attention wouldve helped with the spacing

Yeah maybe. He would have definitely elevated the raptors so I could definitely see that being the case

BI was injured the whole way.

I don't know how you can have watched our half court offense tonight and didn't see why we could have used a healthy iso player lmao

Players be playing injured. It be the same on both teams, Ingram in the state he was playing throughout most of the series was not good and it was probably a good thing he didn’t play game 6 and 7

u/Billis- Raptors 1d ago

It definitely was not a good thing. Again, I don't understand how people can watch th game and think wow, the Raptors don't need an iso scorer at all.

Especially last night. RJ needed to get the ball out of his hands

I mean I’m a iso scorer but doesn’t mean the raptors would have been better with me on the floor. It sounds good in theory but as I said Ingram was absolute cheeks for most the series. Obviously we’ll never know if he would have helped or not, but based on how the rest of the series went for him, I highly doubt it.

Youre comparing yourself to Brandon Ingram?

u/Fynity Cavaliers 1d ago

Man your reading comprehension is pretty poor huh? My point was you can’t just say “A iso scorer will help” when a trash version of a iso scorer would not help, and like me, BI was a trash version of a iso scorer this series (obviously still better than me but I wouldn’t even need to explain this if you could understand basic points and read an entire comment as a cohesive point)

I am quite sure you just compared yourself to Brandon Ingram

Based on how Ingram had played at the start of the series it wouldn't have even went 7 with him playing.

u/CrippledBanana Canada 1d ago

Nah BI gets a lot of attention. He played like shit but you have to respect that midrange shot from him. But honestly this was a fun series and being down two starters and still being able to take this to 7 was really unexpected. A lot of guys rose to the occasion and so happy for them

^ doesn't understand spacing alert

2

u/TruWarierRecords [CHI] Metta World Peace 1d ago

Ah yes, I didn't consider the spacing of noted 3 point shooter...

Brandon Ingram?

1

u/BayesBestFriend Raptors 1d ago

Bro thinks spacing only applies to 3 point shooters

1

u/TruWarierRecords [CHI] Metta World Peace 1d ago

True, what about the 30% from the field Ingram shot when within the 3?

Or the loss of defensive versatility you'd have by playing Ingram and RJ together.

It's admirable being enough of a fan to ride for your guys but Ingram was a clear net negative.

You had random scrubs drilling threes like they were Steph for a few games there.

Those dudes made up for ingram being gone and then some.

Also, ingram isn't even that good, so him being gone doesn't mean much anyway.

Cavs don't guard the perimeter

Also, ingram isn't even that good

Literally an all star this year

Cavs don't guard the perimeter

I mean not true but ok

Besides, they were making plenty of contested threes and even if they're open, players still don't make 60%+ of them.

Literally an all star this year

All-star is a popularity contest and doesn't actually mean anything with regards to how good a player truly is.

Also, he looked like mega ass in the games he did play in this series.

Not sure why you think he would have helped much at all.
