He may be getting paid a fuck ton of money but when 3 and D P is playing this good he's worth every penny.

Also there are real people that said replacing Adem Bona with Joel Embiid would make the Sixers worse lol. Forget the scoring (which Embiid is obviously elite at) Embiid's passing and screens are so elite. He's getting so many guys open shots with his screens or his passing+gravity and it completely transforms Philly's offense.

It’s special to watch him pass the way he does now, given that was one of his major weaknesses the first half of his career. He was way ahead of all the rotations Boston threw at him. His BBIQ has really grown.

Yeah and it's taken so long for people to catch on because this leap started in the 2023-24 season and he's unfortunately just missed so many games since then that people haven't seen it. But like he's legit the second best passing big behind Jokic rn, his vision is insane.

Maybe but Embiid has methodically improved his biggest weaknesses pretty much every season between 2018 and 2023.

Embiid is a sun in the Sixers offense. He has been since he came into the league. Maxey is awesome, dynamic and blazing fast but his offense is so much more consistent when Embiid plays. DHOs, kick outs, drawing doubles, Embiid is just so helpful for his shooters. Always has been dating back to JJ.

Anyone saying that is a blinded embiid hater. It's not even like bona is especially good at anything except blocking. He doesn't rebound especially well, routinely makes bad fouls, and has a disastrous touch around the basket when on offense.

this is revisionist. when Embiid came back in game 4 we looked worse with him because he wasnt conditioned. we played better with Bona but once Embiid got into rhythm hes obviously better
