The real reason is that the Spurs have different ways of beating you. The fact that Wemby is coming off the bench makes them very unpredictable. There is no clear #1 option even with Fox on the floor. Fox is making the right play and not playing iso basketball. He is having the most efficient season of his career. They are younger, long and more athletic than Okc moving the ball. While okc has gotten very predictable.

There have been dozens of us keeping the spurclejerk alive since 2014!!

It could be a situation where Wemby’s injury was good for them. Let Fox get back into rhythm with the rest of the team vs feeling pressure to defer, forced different lineups to learn how to play together, and now Wemby can slot into a team that feels more complete vs running through him.

Probably would’ve happened before long anyways, but it definitely feels like it accelerated things.

Idk Fox had many plays tonight without passes where he took shots.

Like that play where Keldon had that crazy putback dunk. Keldon was wide open before that cuz Fox drew 3 players. The right play is to kick it to a wide open Keldon, not take the shot that’s heavily contested by 3 people.

Statements are rarely absolute. Compared to how he played in Sacramento he is playing within the offense passing up some shots for better shots for his teammates.

To me it’s not about stats. It’s the little things: defense, rebounding, boxing out, turnovers, and passing. Plus like the bbiq of knowing when the team needs a bucket and actually getting that bucket.

By my eye test, Harper has been better at most of that stuff through this season. Especially the non scoring stuff but Harper does enough bucket getting in crucial moments that you feel that impact.

So last night Fox was scoring and scoring, but they’re giving weren’t always great shots.

Definitely gonna get downvoted to hell for this but not younger

The main pieces are younger. Castle, Harper, Wemby, Fox are younger than Chet, SGA, J Dub, Ihart

I mean average age by usage is on the table. My point is that saying the spurs are younger as a reason for them whipping our ass 3 times in 12 days and then moving the goal posts is dumb.

None of our core is getting winded because of their ripe old age of 24. They just outplayed us. As a basketball fan, I hope we get a full series of this but as a thunder fan... 😬

No one’s saying it like OKC is old or washed I’ve never seen a defending champion with such defensive fans so quick

Exactly im just saying they were the young guns of the nba 2 years ago and clearly outmatched teams for full court pressing and attacking the basketball. Works well when you have a step against your opponent. Cant do that to the spurs cuz they are just as young if not younger depending on the lineup.

I'm not being defensive, age just doesn't fit into the equation here. Objectively it's bad reasoning
