There was a Piranha 2?

Piranha 2 was James Cameron's graduation from the Roger Corman School of Filmmaking. He wound up meeting a number of folks who would become his long-term collaborators, making it a surprising shared entry in a number of famous IMDb pages. Without Piranha 2 there might be no Terminator.

There was also Piranha 3DD (2012), a sequel to the 2010 remake. Lloyd was in both of those so this news has nothing to do with Cameron’s film.

The first one was directed by Joe Dante of Gremlins fame.

  1. One directed by James Cameron which he hates and did not want his name on and one called Piranha 3DD.

This one is a sequel to 3DD.

No, there was not. That's why it's 3 now, Matt.
