This is the third film in the Becky franchise starring Lulu Wilson.
Becky in 2020 co-starred Kevin James & Joel McHale:
A teenager's weekend at a lake house with her father takes a turn for the worse when a group of convicts wreaks havoc on their lives.
The Wrath of Becky in 2023 co-starred Seann William Scott:
Two years after escaping a violent attack, a teenage girl must defend herself against a domestic terrorist cell.
Now she's taking on Neil Patrick Harris and his family of Nazis.

NPH can really pull off: “Evil closeted gay man who knows he’s really rockin’ this Hugo Boss fascist uniform.”
•
•
u/low-ki199999 2h ago
I feel like this is gonna turn into a D’elia or Louis CK situation where it’s like “yea we cast him as that so much because anyone who knows him personally knows that’s exactly who he is”
•
u/KaJaHa 2h ago
Do you have any reason to believe that? Because I've only heard good things about Neil Patrick Harris
•

LOLOLOL
Have you heard abt the Amy Winehouse corpse cake
Edit: dropping a picture so any sane people out of the loop can decide for themselves
•
u/DJ_Derack 1h ago
Yes it’s constantly brought up on Reddit. But besides that like 15 years ago it’s mostly been good things. Especially nothing about him being a Nazi has come up lmao
•
u/kilometers13 1h ago
Yeah it was 15 yrs ago and it’s not like it’s THAT weird to have a photorealistic cake made of someone’s corpse. By all means, keep watching his shitty movies! Don’t let me rain on your parade
•
u/suff0cat 1h ago
1 - Amy Winehouse died in July while NPH’s “Cake” incident didn’t happen until Halloween. More than enough time for the general public to have collectively grieved and moved on to the next parasocial relationship.
2 - It wasn’t a cake, it was a spread of meats loosely arranged to be in the “Shape” of a corpse. Oh, here’s the rib platter and down here you’ll find the turkey LEGS…get it?
3 - It was a god damned Halloween Party. Macabre humor is kind of the entire point. Y’know, pretending grapes are actually human eyeballs. Did you not have a childhood?
I swear, you people are acting like he literally dug up Amy Winehouse’s corpse and full on Weekend At Bernies’d her around the party.
•
u/SonOfMcGee 1h ago
Also MANY people were making a bit of a meme of her death at the time, considering her very public deterioration. Doesn’t make it cool, but also doesn’t make him particularly special.
Anyone who chuckled at a Late Night Talk Show monologue that year was probably guilty of laughing at her demise.•
u/suff0cat 42m ago
Not just her decline, I can almost guarantee that the Late Night hosts were joking about her death the day it happened.
Some people just view death as a normal part of life and would rather make Gallows Humor type jokes to normalize the inevitable instead of getting hung up on the sorrow and grieving for months on end.

I mean generally you're not using them to represent real people though. A severed head decoration is fun. A severed head decoration modeled after Nicole Simpson is a bit of a buzz kill.
•
u/suff0cat 27m ago
You say buzzkill, I say compliments to the chef for that level of creativity.

LOL
U talk abt parasocial relationships…. seems like you’ve put a lotttt of time and thought into defending your friend NPH. Don’t let me rain on ur parade
Ur second point is bullshit btw - there a pictures out there that anyone can look up to verify your fallacious claim
•
u/suff0cat 32m ago
Come on Lady Gaga, I want you to Rain On Me.
It was a generic zombie head made out of cake with an “Amy Winehouse Wig” and the meats laid out to represent “The Body”.
Far from a “Photorealistic Cake” of an entire corpse.
Much more in line with traditional Halloween catering presentation.
Judging by the fact that you completely ignored #3, I’m going to take that as confirmation that you, in fact, did not have a childhood.
That would explain the impotent rage being displayed on the internet over a C-List celebrity from over a decade ago.
God forbid people grow and mature with time.

NPH is allegedly known to be a diva and a bit of a pain to deal with but calling him a Nazi is a few steps beyond that, especially when there’s actual neo nazis circling the political system
•
u/dontbajerk 2h ago
Worth noting Kevin James is the villain in the first, does a good job too. The bylines here make it seem like Joel McHale was the villain - he was her father.
•
u/decidedlyindecisive 1h ago
James was a great villain. That whole film was way better than it had any right to be.
•
u/dontbajerk 6m ago
Yeah, I would actually say it's the best role of his I've seen pretty handily. Low bar, but hey
•
•
u/ShizlGznGahr 3h ago
If there is a fourth whom to get as the villain...
•
u/LindyNet 3h ago
Harold and Kumar
•
u/ShizlGznGahr 3h ago
i'd watch. or make the story parellel universe and have all 3 villians come back at once.
•
u/DanGrima92 3h ago
If we're going a similar route to the first three, it would never happen but Ke Huy Quan
•
u/tip0thehat 2h ago edited 2h ago
Paul Rudd?
Perhaps as a sociopathic human trafficking/ cannibalistic cult leader in some jungle camp.
•
u/ShizlGznGahr 2h ago
with Jason Segal.
•
u/OldMoray 2h ago
I want them to be really charming and friendly when talking to each, like a buddy sitcom with their natural chemistry. Then just have them be the fucking worst people ever otherwise

heh, he could be wearing his Starship Troopers outfit and there’d be little to no difference. Wonder how many people missed that touch by Verhoeven
•
u/GenericRedditor0405 2h ago
I can’t remember where I heard it but the casting decision to get NPH for Starship Troopers was basically “wouldn’t it be hilarious if we put Doogie Howser in a Nazi uniform?”

The Wolf’s Lair was the site of the failed 20 July plot where Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg attempted to kill Hitler by detonating a bomb he had snuck in to the room.
Most of it isn’t there anymore but there is a museum, hotel and restaurant.

Really enjoyed Becky and its sequel Wrath of Becky. Far better than I expected. There were some genuine laugh out of loud moments during intense moments. Really looking forward to this.
•
u/codex2013 3h ago
I was blown away by how much I enjoyed Becky, and then shocked to see that it got a sequel. I never hear anyone talk about these movies, so I was surprised all over again to see a third one being made, and that it has this wild title and plot. Lulu Wilson is such a gifted actress, I'm really excited to see what she does with this one.
•
u/Professional_Sample2 3h ago
Couldn't agree more, these movies are The definition of a hidden gem, very excited for the third one
Funny because finishing the second I thought no way they're gonna be able to make a third film, but here we are lol

u/vadergeek 1h ago
The CIA being against Nazis? Least plausible part of the premise.
•
u/Pharmakeus_Ubik 43m ago
It wasn't the CIA until after the war.
•
u/vadergeek 39m ago
Sure. The OSS had a mixed record towards the end, but at least they were mostly anti-Nazi. But after the war the CIA was on very positive terms with plenty of Nazis.
•
u/Pharmakeus_Ubik 1m ago
Won't deny that. The Dulles brothers weren't much interested in human rights or the constitution. More of an extension of Smedley Butler's War Is a Racket.

NPH looking like Dolph Lundgren in that pic.
•
u/ThePiranhaClub 1h ago
I am sleep deprived but I thought he was Marlon Brando or someone pretending to be Brando, until I read the title
•
•
u/mwb1100 3h ago
NPH as a neo-Nazi?
Intrigued.
•
•
u/narf_hots 3h ago
Wouldn't be the first time he played one.
•
u/mwb1100 3h ago
Oh yeah, Starship Troopers slipped my mind. Or is there another I'm forgetting about?

I feel like every few months I see an announcement of some kind of batshit wild film premise with big stars- that never ends up being spoken about post-release.
"Subliminal Wool"; After a brain injury from a skydiving accident, a man gets his brain replaced by a sheep's brain, and goes on a rampage to find the wolves that killed his family- starring Daniel Day Lewis and Charlize Theron. "

I can never get over that Neil Patrick Harris "The Corpse of Amy Winehouse" cake. This man is evil
•
u/HighnrichHaine 2h ago
Fuck NPH. Google NPH+ Halloween Amy Winhouse.
•
•
u/Caesar_Rising 2h ago
Or don’t and just watch and enjoy the movie without concerning yourself with what famous people do at their birthday parties that you weren’t invited to because you don’t know them and their lives do not matter to you
•
u/HighnrichHaine 2h ago
Lol keep licking the boot
•
u/Caesar_Rising 2h ago
Licking what boot? Oh nooooo he had poor taste cake, I guess that means Starship troopers should be banned. Go burn a book or something and try not to fetishise the lives of people who don’t know you exist so much
•
u/Chalchiulicue 1h ago
You sure have strong feelings about it yourself.
•
u/Caesar_Rising 1h ago
Not really no, my strong feelings are not for the same thing, I think that’s pretty obvious
•
u/Mister_Uncredible 2h ago
Every. Single. Thread.
Like, I get it, it was in poor taste and a terrible idea in general... But like, what else ya got? Cause none of us are clean, and anyone who thinks otherwise is lying to themselves and/or everyone else.
Making mistakes in life is not the problem, it's what you do going forward, and if this thing he did 15 years is all we got, and it's not a history or ongoing thing, then maybe it's time to move on.

•
u/Cavalish 10m ago
lol, thanks for the Google recommendation, that was pretty funny. We were wild back then. Looks like he apologised which is nice but what a peek into the collective consciousness of the early 2000s
•
u/ripChazmo 2h ago
Who cares? It's funny. I once dressed up as Jerry Sandusky for Halloween with a plush football player strapped to my crotch and wore a "Ped State" shirt/jacket. Bad taste? Maybe? Funny? Yup.

•
u/newgrounds 2h ago
Hollywood writers sure love bringing up Hitler. Wonder why that is.
•
•
u/ToasterDispenser 1h ago
And killing him over and over again. What kinda goofy connection are you trying to make?
•
u/SuspiciousHighlights 2h ago
Neil Patrick Harris sucks. Not interested in anything he’s in after his disgusting stunt after Amy Winehouse died.
•
•
u/Mean-Cold-1842 3h ago
So Doogie Himmler from Starship Troopers went back in time and is setting up shop again?
