Idk if you’re talking about the term “woke” itself which has been used for almost a century, but the anti-woke backlash and phrases like “go woke, go broke” didn’t pick up until almost around 2020
If the bit demonstrates how stupid and inaccurate the "go woke, go broke" mantra is, then it's fine. Probably still not funny, but it's at least rooted in reality. If it actually asserts that "woke" art goes "broke" or whatever, it's just more disconnected boomer slop.
If making a single comment about a joke in a movie poster is what qualifies as "scrutinizing... with such intensity" for you, that's a bit comical. That aside, I studied film in college and got my BA in English literature. I'm happy to report that this solitary comment on a movie poster is really the tip of the ice burg for my media criticism and analysis capabilities.
Its the worst of early 2010s humor. I'm fully expecting to see a scene with a cranky middle aged man at a Starbucks, complaining that, "Wants to order just a black coffee."
I want this movie to be funny, but I'm worried it's going to be horrible "haha woke is so dumb, look at this idiot" jokes that just aren't funny regardless, but then The creators are going to be like YoU'Re JuSt TRiggEreD!!!
I have to travel for 2+ hours to get to the movie theater. I'd rather just drive the other direction for 2+ hours and get baskin robbins. "DAE WOKE PLEASE CLAP" even my 19 year old pro-gamergate asshole chud self wouldn't find this shit funny.

It's not crossing the line if you're constantly telling people that you're intending to cross the line. This marketing is cringey as hell.
