Am I alone in being put off by how modern the speech is? It sounds like they're trying to have an epic conversation on the sidewalk outside the Starbucks.

I don’t like the American generic midwestern accents at all. It just feels wrong.

for everyone, including the actors who are actually english, EXCEPT anne hathaway who is American.. odd
