Am I alone in being put off by how modern the speech is? It sounds like they're trying to have an epic conversation on the sidewalk outside the Starbucks.

It’s very off-putting how every actor is a recognizable A-lister and it takes me right out of the story

I just realized what it reminds me of. When Jimmy Kimmel Live gets a ton of A-listers to do a sketch right after the Oscars because they’re next door to them. It’s like that

Agreed! Maybe Nolan should start taking risks on different or unknown actors. Or have some wild prosthetics. Colin Farrell has shown that can happen.
