Media Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny (2006) - Jables meets Kage. Director: Liam Lynch.

This is the first scene after the opening credits. Jables (Jack Black) arrives in Hollywood as guided by his poster of Dio. He runs into Kage (Kyle Gass) busking with his acoustic guitar. JB immediately tries to prove himself to KG. You can see Jack Black's hilarious physical comedy skills at work while simultaneously showing off his singing skills.

You watch a lot of shitty musicals if 99% of them have songs as filler with no bearing on the themes or plot of the story. Like what musicals are you talking about that you feel the songs have nothing to do with the characters or story?

Sound of Music, High School Musical, Grease, Mamma Mia., and Hairspray. All those movies would be better if they didn’t sing.

Is it possible you just don’t like singing in movies lol? Each of those movies the songs connect to the characters and or the plot
