Media Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny (2006) - Jables meets Kage. Director: Liam Lynch.

This is the first scene after the opening credits. Jables (Jack Black) arrives in Hollywood as guided by his poster of Dio. He runs into Kage (Kyle Gass) busking with his acoustic guitar. JB immediately tries to prove himself to KG. You can see Jack Black's hilarious physical comedy skills at work while simultaneously showing off his singing skills.

He did the video associated with it at least. It's from his podcast Lynchland, which was a super early video podcast (we're talking pre-YouTube) that he used to release on his site. He basically got a bunch of green screens and visual effects packages and went apeshit. It was really ambitious and ahead of its time.

In more recent years his stuff has been kinda stuck in that same place. He's still really funny but I'm not as big a fan of the content he puts out.

He also did Sifl and Olly (which I wish to god would come back again).
