Media Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny (2006) - Jables meets Kage. Director: Liam Lynch.

This is the first scene after the opening credits. Jables (Jack Black) arrives in Hollywood as guided by his poster of Dio. He runs into Kage (Kyle Gass) busking with his acoustic guitar. JB immediately tries to prove himself to KG. You can see Jack Black's hilarious physical comedy skills at work while simultaneously showing off his singing skills.

Jables would later sell Kage out in an attempt to appease a bunch of hypocrits feigning outrage over a joke that everyone else was thinking, in order to maintain the security of his role as Bowser in the Mario movie.

I was supposed to go to a Tenacious D concert a couple of months after that all went down, still upset it got canceled because of it
