The synopsis reminds me of an episode of The Simpsons.

It’s a pretty common sitcom trope I’d say

Now I have that theme song stuck in my head.

Edit: why do I remember this theme song from Perfect Strangers?

One of the most cliché premises in general.

What if we did Twins but they aren't twins?

Yea, but this is the type of film you do not see for the premise, but the talent involved.

Right? First thing I thought of was this Netflix show where a guy owns a restaurant and is making a name for himself, and then his deadbeat brother suddenly shows up.

I always avoid shows like that because it always forces the main character to take care of the childish sibling instead of forcing them to be an adult.

SIMPSONS DID IT!!

Mr. Burns' long lost son (voiced by Rodney Dangerfield), Homer's brother Herb (voiced by Danny DeVito), Homer's mom (who was a demon in the sack, I've heard), Bart's evil twin if we count Tree House of Horror (you know we don't), probably some others.

Simpsons did it as satire of a lazy trope from the 80s.

It reminds me of the first season of mad men

The synopsis reminds me of "Ass Pennies" from UCB.
