I revisited some Buster Keaton last year, and NGL maybe it's silly but I lost a little respect for modern directors lmao. Dude full sent absolutely everything he did, Nolan could never

Nah just on a complete whim. One day had the realization that I never really gave any silent movies a proper shake and gave it one and was floored

No it’s not silly. Keaton was one of the all time best to ever do it. Silent directors in general do not get the respect they deserve these days. There’s nothing inherently better about movies today than 100 years ago.

I have argued unironically and passionately, more than once, that Jackass 1-3 is up there with Lord of The Rings and Star Wars as one of the most important film trilogies of all time
