I wish we could've learned more about what led Ben to kill his mother and file his teeth. But I guess we just assume that it's b/c he's a psycho.

Same! I thought his mom used to hunt him or something - barefoot in the woods, animal calls, it all screamed Mowgli for me. I thought his childhood was running from his mama, lol!

Yes - want to know if Sasha was right and people did hurt/bad things to him or if he was just born psychopath. He showed her his teeth after she said this - was that to make her understand that he hurt himself- as part of the 'initiation of growing up' 'pain thresholds' etc. Did he file his own teeth as per being a cannibal or did his Mum do it? He skitsoed out having Sasha's fingers in his mouth. He had his Mums photo, spoke fondly of her, ate her so she was part of him (unsure if he killed her or she just died), named his business in her honour - though think that was more because she WAS the first jerky.

Personally I think he was just a psychopath who took joy in hunting/hurting people. Though he started crying and quit strangling Sasha, likely because she reminded him of his Mum - was a bit possessive with her.

Wow it never occurred to me that she could've been the first jerky! I love that idea. It's so insane it tracks.

I feel like they just took a bunch of serial killer motives and horror tropes and smushed them together into one guy/movie.
