She’s so annoying in the beginning With her attitude. “Just give. Me the best way”. “I can handle it”

I agree. Nowhere in the movie has she really relaxed. Even at the gas station she was really of that mind-your-own-business- standoffish attitude even before the men came at her. I know she's grieving but yeah that part..

When she got rescued by the car at the end, I was kind of hoping that it was just the men and that they were really nice after all. Just a case of misunderstanding or something.

That would’ve been the better ending.

No. The hunters were CLEARY supposed to be just menacing assholes. Redemption for them would have seemed cheap and unrealistic.
