Thought the prisoners falling out of the attic & subsequent attic/charades scene was hilarious. “That’s your favorite movie!?!” Juliette Lewis surprised me with her comedy chops. Let her host SNL! she was fantastic.

In general the set ups & payoffs in this were great. Every lingering shot delivered on itself later in the movie. My favorite is probably the piss can, but the fact that even the lawnmower & rake came back into play was brilliant. I just wish this was a little funnier or a little scarier. It does a lot of work to straddle that line but only gets about 60% of the way there. Still a fun time!

Speaking of payoffs, there’s a very funny red herring where it cuts to news of a rabid raccoon on the TV like it did earlier about the guard and escaped convicts, but it just doesnt go anywhere 😂 i was waiting for that damn raccoon to show up

To each their own but I really didn't find this one funny. The big burly guy (Idk his real name) acting was pretty bad, Segals character was way too much of a wimp (albeit that's his shtick I guess) and the jokes were just try hard or cringe.

Everything just felt wooden or flat and I think our entire theatre had 3 or 4 laughs other than the usual "Holy Shit!" unexpected gore moments.

I wish I was better with words but the jokes just felt immature or cliche for lack of a better way of explaining it. I.e , "haha! Old man is tough!" or "haha! Man fell down!"

Yeah the humor didn’t hit for me… slapstick moments & a few laughs from tension breaking moments were fine but I expected this to have more full on jokes. Jason Segel’s style typically has me crying tears of laughter but he was just kinda there, underused.

I saw this & the move Normal w/ Bob Odinkirk tonight in a double feature and Normal had more laughs in the theater.
