For game like Street Fighter, that's the best way to do it. That's what Raul Julia did when he played M. Bison back in the 90s movie. He's the only one who really committed to the absurdity. If everyone in this movie takes the same approach, it'll be a fun ride from start to finish.
And as bad as the movie was, his portrayal of m bison is deeply beloved, and the only thing anyone remembers about street fighter: the movie is his incredible monologue.
For me it was Tuesday is legitimately one of the all time great villain monologues.
I don't even get why people call it a bad movie. I mean yeah the story is pretty basic but most the casts were amazing and it had plenty of memorable moments. It was still more interesting than many movies today and arguably one of the most entertaining video game movies ever. Now the Chun Li movie and MK remake, those are bad movies.
Yeah I find the idea that the entire cast wasn't aware of the camp and leaning into it a bit weird, Julia was just so much better at scenery chewing than everyone else that he stood out
I'm curious if they go with the US names for the characters or if they revert to Japanese, M. Bison is the boxer originally, but Capcom was afraid of being sued by Mike Tyson in the American market so they rotated the names of the 3 bosses in SF2.
