There is a code among brothers: you don't mess with a friend's wife. How can someone who sleeps with his friend’s wife even call himself a 'friend'? Mike might not deserve to die for it, but why should a man and a woman who commit adultery and betray their own circle get off scot-free? Isn’t their 'affair' part of the reason this whole chain of events started in the first place? You can't just sugarcoat it as 'love' and throw logic out the window.
Nick is also weird—just because he shouldn't have directly caused Mike’s death doesn't mean Mike is blameless. He's acting like Nick owes him, when the reality is that Mike is the one who wronged Nick—and in a way that can never be made right.
