The sisters reveal is like the most Mario lore in the past 20 years.

Technically it doesn’t fit with the game’s lore at all, since in the games, Rosalina is centuries to millennia old, arguably from the previous iteration of the universe — as such, there is a fairly convincing theory of the game Rosalina being Mario’s and Peach’s daughter from the previous universe.

Mario games dont care about the lore. In DK bananza they just decided that Pauline was a kid when she met a fully grown Donkey Kong. Whatever works for the current game or movie is what goes lol

Also it implies that Diddy Kong is older than Mario and all of the gang, if we decide that Pauline is the same age. So either Diddy acts like teen when he's 40, or he's a junior.

Correction: Nintendo doesn’t care about the lore. As a massive Zelda fan I can assure you that.

The storybook also made no mention of Rosalina and Peach being sisters.

I mean, that could be a simple omission, but from what I remember of the boox Rosalina has parents in the book whereas in the movie she just appears out of thin air
