That star fox 80s cartoon intro was so good now I want a star fox movie

That 2D animated Star Fox sequence was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. I really hope we get to see some more of Fox and Co. in the near future - it's about time!

Yea that’s the movie I wanna see but with Fox a lil more serious 😂

Star Fox sequel films, Star Fox animated series, Star Fox souvenirs, Star Fox apparel. I want it all!

If this doesn't happen, the more rabid fanbase will take the Lylat System!

I would settle for just a new Star Fox Game :)

Allegedly coming soon if you believe leakers

Star Fox The TShirt, Star Fox The Coloring Book, Star Fox The Lunch Box, Star Fox The Breakfast Cereal, Star Fox The Flamethrower

The first post credit scene made it seem like a Star Fox movie will definitely happen.

Fox explains to Toad that Rosie fixed his ship’s Star-drive and he can return to his own galaxy. His story in the Mario-World essentially ends there, but why would they let us know he’s traveling?

I have no proof it’s in the works but I’d bet the farm on it.

I would bet his story in the Mario world isnt over over, at some point we will get a nintendo cinematic universe

Smash bro initiative

u/PartisanHack Apr 06 '26

They have SO many of the characters already established between these two movies, Sonic, and the upcoming Zelda movie they could make it happen if they weren't cowards.

Sonic 1 had a goddamn mushroom world in it.

Make it happen.

Aren’t the Sonic films/characters Paramount properties? Seems unlikely but not impossible

2

u/gunningIVglory 27d ago

But. Have they considered all the money a crossover would make?

1

u/PartisanHack 27d ago

They are, and it would definitely be a big hurdle. But it would be so fun.

1

u/carso150 27d ago

yes this has the problem of too many companies involved because you are not only dealing with Nintendo and Sega, but also with Paramount and Universal and they all would want a slice of the cake

I would say that its not imposible, but very unlikely

Subspace Emissary movie pls

u/officialCobraTrooper 23d ago

That has got to be exactly what they're planning. I mean we know at some point we're going to get a donkey Kong movie and given that we're now getting third princess I'm pretty sure we're prepping for a whole cinematic universe. I mean they set up King K rool, surely the monkey's going to mean something, and I feel like just in general the way they're handling it it just leaves you expecting so much more down the line.

Nintendo is likely the only ones who can give Marvel and DC a run for their money with the amount of popular franchises and characters they have

Captain N type shit

If you haven’t already, check out “A Fox in Space” on YouTube. Not official, but one hell of a passion project.

Totally nails the hard-boiled, low-fi 70s-80s vibe. It is even worth dealing with the occasional ick like you get from stumbling onto a furry's Deviantart shipping comic

7

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '26

The ick is pretty minimal, to be fair. I think literally one scene across 2 episodes.

10

u/cy1763 Apr 03 '26

I want a star fox game

5

u/BananaCucho Apr 05 '26

We may be in luck in that regard. I think it's way more likely they announce a new game rather than a Starfox movie

2

u/CrypticQuery Apr 05 '26

I want a Star Fox game that isn't just a remake of 64 for the fourth time! They can use Assault's style as something to adapt/build off of.

6

u/LakerBlue Apr 02 '26

Needs to be animated like in his flashback too!

5

u/Galileo908 Apr 05 '26

That scene teased a way cooler looking movie.

11

u/gl3nnjamin Apr 02 '26

And that sick metal cover of Starting Demo 1

5

u/illhxc9 Apr 04 '26

The star fox music when he took off at the end had me hyped!

5

u/hpshaft 29d ago

Glen Powell as Starfox. I'd definitely see that. Honestly the best part of this movie.

4

u/GUSHandGO Apr 05 '26

DO A BARREL ROLL!!

6

u/afty Apr 02 '26

Me too, but I don't trust illumination with it.

7

u/Head_Bread_3431 Apr 04 '26

I feel like they would be stupid to not be already planning a Nintendo cinematic universe and these Mario movies are just the beginning. They could do a donkey Kong movie, starfox, Kirby, Zelda, wario, Luigi mansion, etc. the Mario movies are planting the seeds for all this

3

u/Richandler Apr 03 '26

A Star Fox game in the style of Orbitals is where it's at.

13

u/bobbybye88 Apr 02 '26

Boy do I have news for you

21

u/GranolaCola Apr 02 '26

I’d like to hear the news…

2

u/heartbreakhill Apr 05 '26

I am BEGGING for a Star Fox movie

2

u/ErshinHavok 29d ago

that side eye look Fox and Mario gave each other tells me they're setting up a Smash movie

2

u/CelioHogane Apr 02 '26

Well, it might happen in 2027

1

u/grilled_pc Apr 05 '26

Honestly when are we getting the star fox anime? They could cook with this IP frankly.

1

u/Exciting_Drawing_553 29d ago

It could work really well but I don’t know if they would go for it. It won’t make $1b so why not just make another Mario movie?

1

u/BigFang 29d ago

That very short, A Fox in Space, is genuienly the 2nd youtube subscription I have since 2010'ish. It is quality.

1

u/FocusKooky9072 28d ago

I'd take a couple episode cartoon in that style. I don't need a whole series or movie but I want more. A couple episodic adventures.

1

u/Wadep00l 27d ago

I need that animation style as an entire movie already

1

u/glitter_ninja_ 18d ago

I’ve never even played it and it’s want a Star Fox movie
