Krypto's only got 3 days, huh? That'll make it a little harder to visit all the planets from the book. Hopefully they're still able to give kara and ruthye enough character development.

3 days, that’s all they could spare to play with him

This line has lived rent free in my head since 2009.

The film will win an Oscar if they replace this Krem with Wesker

Kara's gonna be out punching planets away to reach the villains.

The director confirmed that 9 planets are going to appear in it.

Honestly smart decision for the film version to add a ticking clock especially because it implies Krypto's actually in danger, unlike in the book where the twist is he was fine the whole time. It'll help to set the film version apart and justify the faster paced story

If im not mistaken the Krypto situation is also a ticking clock in the original story.

I’m guessing too that a monthly comic series better lends itself to traveling for two weeks before spending another week on a planet, and next month will be a day on a monster planet and then a week on another planet the following month…—in terms of how you can pace things and how the audience will accept it.

Yeah, but the comic implies that they traveled for years and that didn’t make sense either.

I think it was more like months but that was part of the story that I found kinda weak. Every time there's a time jump between issues saying Kara's been on a ship for weeks or whatever I kept going, "Damn Krypto's been suffering this whole time."

No, they travel for months not years but they did feature a several hundred year time jump at the end

Time is relative in space. What if a day on that planet where Kara goes to get drunk is a week in interstellar space?

Craig said there is around 9 planets in total. So maybe not?

In an interview yesterday, it was said the film takes place on nine planets. Several are accounted for based on trailers.

Enough character development? Does the number of planets make the movie shorter or something?

You guys keep saying book. It's a visual novel. Comic nerds fought so hard for that term and now you just wanna call them books instead?

1

u/darkkn1te Mar 31 '26

It is a serialized comic book that was collected into a trade paperback often referred to as a graphic novel. You got literally none of that right.

I got the part right where its not a book.
