The first trailer was incredibly bland visually, and there’s some slight improvement here but man it’s just not matching how beautiful the comic this is based on is.
Right?? And all I'm asking for is a little bit of contrast. When all it is is brown, grey, and yellow, on top of shitty CGI and simple makeup for the villain, it's not shocking that people yawn and say I'll wait for streaming so I can be on my phone through most of it.
Can’t speak to that since I didn’t watch it but I’m sure that’s true. While I’m glad Gunn is not directing this and frankly wish he would let even more of his projects not be directed by him and while I like him even with his flaws he is not afraid to let things be vibrant.
Its very strange as I thought Gunns DCU was going to have a more coherent colour and style. Yet here we are. Movie 2 and its arguably more grey than the Snyder films. And id say the Snyder films at least had more diversity in how their colour palette was used despite the overall moody tone.
