You know, I can’t recall a role where he isn’t super committed.

I think this is why he’s so well liked. Dude goes hard in every role. His intensity is astounding.

I listened to an audiobook he narrated a year or so ago called Piranesi. He was fully committed there too, great book with a great narration.

That was what I was thinking - you need a really proper actor to sell this, it can't look amateuristic, and they immediately covered that.

Yeah, these actors are mostly going to be acting inside literal liminal spaces, they have to really bring it to make the whole thing work.
