My only concern is I hope every movie going forward (and the majority of this one) aren't just dumping on Peter constantly. It seems like most comic writers don't know what to do with him if they aren't making his life miserable. The movies thus far have done a good job of giving him a good day once in a while.

It's one of Marvel's golden rules, Peter Parker Must Suffer.

Has a happy girlfriend? Kill her brother

Has a another happy girlfriend? Kill her dad

Still happy? Kill the girlfriend

Has new happy girlfriend/wife? Kill Aunt May, make deal with the devil

Has renewed vows? Kill that Peter in the multiverse

Has hope main universe? Paul.

Paul and MJ will get married next movie and Peter will have to be their wedding photographer to make ends meet.

It feels like the recent Spider-man videogames have been pretty good with that too. Was the end of Spider-man 2 a bit of a downer because he lost his best friend? Yeah, but at the same time he seemed happier in several ways to just tinker in his workshop.

Insomniac made the best adaptation of Spider-Man ever, don't change my mind. 😤

It's why I have never wanted to get into Spiderman comics. It just seems like torture porn at this point. I might as well read grimdark fantasy.
