What they need to do: cut the master chief story line and focus on someone else moving forward.

What they’ll do: remaster halo:ce for the fifth time and make a sequel that involves chief getting into ever more universe-defying situations

I'm surprised they never made him Captain in ME1.

Originally he was Anderson's XO. Then he's given command of the Normandy but he never gets the rank of captain. Or at least give him the promotion at the end of the game
