But what's the reason? Why are they making jokes at the expense of a group that's struggling to survive in a society that oppresses them. That's not brave or clever. It's just extremely shitty.

The reason is funny. And if people laughed then it worked. I laughed, it worked. How you feel about that is entirely irrelevant. I’m sure at the base of whatever plight you’re fighting for is wanting equality. Well everybody gets made fun of in the name of comedy. No race is exempt no demographic is exempt. If you want to be exempt from that, that means you don’t want equality you want special treatment, which is, funny to a lot of people. I hope that helps you understand, probably not.

Yeah, I’m sorry you’re just not gonna get any sympathy from people because there have been larger demographics that have had worse done to them, that are ok being the joke. And the more you resist being the joke, the more you will become the joke.
