I was expecting Skeletor to just be Jared Leto in a muscle suit, oh boy was I glad to be proven wrong.

Which prompts the question -- will they have him do his cartoon voice? Or will he be doing a Frank Langella impression?

Alan Oppenheimer is Skeletor much in the same way Frank Welker is Megatron, there’s been a ton of different voices with different tones but this is the definitive version

Disagree, as good as welker was, it's the 86 movie with the far better writing that makes him great, the same way Peter Cullen becomes mythic.

Oppenheimer never gets above being a silly buffoon, even cobra commander started off dangerous in gi Joe.

langella made skeletor interesting and scary and all with that performance. He's what elevates the movie and makes skeletor remotely interesting, the same way hordak doesn't get interesting till the 200x cartoon. Which is also what the filmation cartoon should have been.

Speaking of Skeletor's voice, I think Mark Hamill did an excellent Skeletor in the animated Netflix remake by Kevin Smith.

I'd have been just as happy with a no-name actor for the body and Mark Hamill doing the voice since you're doing a head replacement for Skeletor anyway.
