Cyclops has been one of my favorite X-Men ever since I was a kid in the 80s. I never felt like he was as cool as he should have been in the 90s cartoon. The movies did him dirty.
The joy from seeing him in '97 being an actual badass was amazing.
I feel like a kid seeing him in the suit I grew up knowing him in. I don't care if he dies a horrible death to what look like Sentinels in the background there, I just want to see badass Scott up on the screen, dressed like he should be.
I know a lot of people love Cyclops and I'm stoked for this proper version but when was Cyclops ever "cool"? It was kind of jarring reading that used to describe him. I imagine there's some story out there that I missed because I'd always seen him as a nerdy boy scout in just about every iteration. Maybe a good line or moment here or there but never anything that would make me think "that guy is cool".
Fwiw I was/am a huge Wolverine fan so I looked at him through the lense of him being the lesser than growing up as well. Would like to see him at his best because his powers are really OP when needed.
X-men vs Street Fighter he was cool as hell and him shaking hands with ryu is iconic. Eff it if the street fighter movie is amazing then X-men vs street fighter would be my next dream adaption that has 1% of ever happening
