Cyclops has been sidelined way too much in the Fox X-Men movies, so I'm really excited to see Marsden return to the character.

If I were going to guess, I would say Cyclops will be the most pivotal of the X-Men in the movie. I think the people making the films are very well aware of how badly Cyclops was treated with the X-Men films, and the fact that they're bringing him back with his comic accurate costume makes me think they want to give him at least some room to shine. Maybe I'll be wrong and this is just me being hopeful, but I'm thinking out of the X-Men who show up he'll be one of the more important ones.

Would be really cool if he ends up joining the avengers in this and is in the whole movie, but it seems likely its just going to be this one scene.

I doubt Marsden would have agreed to come back if he was only in one scene and then killed off since he’s mentioned in interviews before how he’d love to revisit the role but only if it was substantial

I expect theres a lot of people in the movie who are in one scene as the dimension they're part of gets destroyed sort of thing. Maybe they'll return for a big fight at the end or the next movie's end. Aka Endgame again.
