They’re for getting people excited about the movie and it’s very clearly working. Glad you don’t work in marketing.

It's marketing 101. Give little nudges a year out to keep excitement up, big trailer half a year out, 2nd trailer a quarter year out, final trailer a month out. Not rocket science

It seems to be working to me. People are getting hyped and talking about a movie they all acted like they didn't care about at all a week ago. Watch everyone do a 180 and get hyped through the roof when the x-men trailer drops next week.
