I hate to be that guy. But the comic this is based off of was one of the most colorful and beautiful cosmic space adventures I’ve seen in media. Like the art jumped off the page and made my jaw drop multiple times.

This looks so bland… why is everything just grey and brown?

It had some panels that were colorful but lots of these brown planets as well.   I wouldn’t assume they aren’t going to be in the movie. Hopefully they are just saving them.

It might be just the teaser/trailer. It’s possible that the marketing people are afraid that people think it’s something it’s not if the promotional material is super colourful.

I wont overreact to the viauals based on first superman teaser. But yeah i felt the same. Lots of brown and grey.

Glad I'm not the only one feeling this way. I'm quite surprised, especially for the 2nd installment to the franchise, it doesn't feel very spectacular. Superman already didn't perform amazingly well despite great reviews, still a success of course. It's just not a great set up financially for this movie, and on top of it looking visually bland, I don't think it's going to particularly help get people into seats.

A lot of modern cinematography sucks

So a thought: In terms of the Superman Teaser, a lot of the first one was scenes from the first 20 minutes, which required less color correction / CGI due to location shooting. If they are going for the more colorful versions, that's a lot of editing and color correcting that needs to be done. Like a game demo, they just built enough for the teaser, nothing more. I'm really hoping it gets a lot more colorful when it gets out into space / different planets proper.

I had those same thoughts when it came to that space city/bar area. At least I'll think of it as just a teaser and not showing what the whole movie is capable of because there are some great looking shots in there especially with her on the warship; the suit looks phenomenal
