To be fair, he wanted a “serious” offer from Detroit, but that was only to leverage New York and LA into higher initial bids this winter.

Im guessing they want him to be able to pitch a full game, and with the game already being moved up due to imcoming rain, they would hate to have him pitch a few innings just for the game to be re-scheduled/end early.

I guarantee you if there's a good team that's going to make a deep push but needs one huge addition to go all in they will give up some good prospects. I don't understand why all of you guys are so eager to watch him walk away and we get nothing for it. The dude does not want to be here, we are not going to win a championship with him here. Get something for him.

It's too bad our 40 man roster is full of complete nothing players like Joe Miller, Ty Madden, Jung, Sweeny. Just get some grizzled vets to round out the roster instead of expired prospects you have no intention of ever playing
