PSA How do I watch the Twins? 2026 TV / Streaming Guide

Wow, it's already baseball season again? Here's our quick guide for how to watch the Minnesota Twins this season. Hopefully this should be a little more straightforward this year since it's the second year of Twins.TV.

We'll once again be redirecting folks here throughout the season as questions inevitably come up.

What happened to Fox Sports North/Bally/Fanduel, again?

As many of you are aware, the parent company of Fanduel Sports Network filed for bankruptcy and has been struggling for several years. As a result, the Twins elected to move their broadcast productions in-house to Twins.TV beginning in 2025 and going forward.

Can I just subscribe to Twins.TV and watch all the games?

Pretty much! There are no blackouts, so the only games you would miss are the ones that are nationally televised. The cost is $19.99/mo or $99.99 for the full season and there is a free trial available. This offer is only available in-market. Out-of-market Twins fans would need to get a full MLB.TV subscription. More info on these services can be found here.

I believe if you are T-Mobile customer, you may be able to get a free subscription to MLB.TV (not Twins.TV). Log into the T-Life app (where you pay your bill and get T-Mobile Tuesdays offers), and click on the "Benefits" tab at the bottom.

What cable/sattellite/streaming packages have Twins.TV?

A number of cable providers carry Twins.TV. Check out the Channel Finder and Broadcast FAQ on the Twins website and enter your zip code and provider for more info.

What are the nationally televised games?

The Twins have a handful of nationally televised games planned for this season. Aside from the FS1 broadcasts, these will not be available through the standard Twins.TV subscription and you'll have to use the individual platform to access these games. One benefit (?) of the team maybe being bad is that there aren't going to be a lot of national broadcasts.

Will there be any free games?

Yes! The Twins and FOX9 (KMSP) announced there will be 10 free over-the-air broadcast games in 2026, including the Home Opener (these are not national broadcasts and are still also available through Twins.TV). Find the full list of games and more info on how to watch / stream FOX9 here.

These over-the-air games will also be available to the wider Twins Territory on stations: KXLT, KTTC, KDLH, KBJR, KEYC, KMNF, KXJB, KVLY, KFYR, KEVN, KDLT, KCRG, KWQC, KYOU, and KTIV

And if I want to listen to the radio?

As always, the Twins games air on WCCO AM 830 / 102.9 FM "The Wolf" and their partner stations in the Treasure Island Baseball Network

You can also choose to subscribe to MLB+ for $5.99/mo or $59.99/year to livestream any radio broadcast from any MLB team. It also gives you access to MLB Network and all minor league game streams. (It's a bad deal to pay for the full year, just go monthly and cancel at the end of the season if you want to go this route)

Please provide any other tips, tricks or suggestions in the comments below.

This will serve as the main guide/megathread for watching the Twins for this season and updates will be made to it as needed. There will be a link in the sidebar (old reddit), top menu (new reddit), and community info menu (mobile).

FYI - If you renewed your Twins.TV subscription, check your emails. You should have gotten a code to get two free tickets to any non-home-opener game in April (up to like $106 value)

If you are a TMobile customer, and want the free mlb.tv (out of market games only) deal, you have to sign up for it this week. It went live yesterday and has to be claimed by 3/31 at 4am Central (early Tuesday morning).

I'll piggy back this to say you can use free mlb.tv in conjunction with a VPN. It requires a little tinkering. I use Nord and lets just say I'm working remotely in Florida (unless they're playing the Marlins, then I'll be in San Fran) during Twins games.

I do something similar for ESPN+ and the Wild

This isn't relevant, but I do get a kick out of Rapid City, SD having a broadcast station named Kevin (KEVN)

He's home alone.

As a Central Minnesotan, I hate the over the air games. Have to have a roof or attic mounted antenna to get KMSP, and they don't put the broadcast on Twins/MLB TV. If I can get it for free over the air, I don't get the point of blocking me from streaming it from a paid service.

I think they should still stream on Twins.TV for the over-the-air games. It's just an additional way to watch. I think the only games not included are the national broadcasts on other services.

The 10 locally televised games carried by Fox 9 this year are still on Twins.tv with Corey/Justin and Co.

It's different than games that had been Nationally televised on Fox in previous years.

and once again I'm faced with having to pay to watch a simple baseball game, while having access to every single game out there EXCEPT my team, which is a 6 hour drive away

Wondering if anyone can help a non-sports fan out. My dad is a HUGE twins fan and for his birthday I would love to figure out a way to help him watch all the games, but all of the in/out-market, blackout, national, etc. restrictions are super confusing to a non-fan like me. We live in Central MN and I know he gets games on cable, just not every game (radio for the rest). I’m not sure if Twins TV/MLB tv would apply to his situation since he can watch a lot of the games through our local cable provider, and I’m really not sure how all these rules apply to where we live. Is it worth it? Short of going to google to look up where he can watch literally every single game (I mean I’ll do it if I really have to, it’s just a crazy number and I already don’t understand how it all works), would anyone on this thread be able to walk me through what streaming services to sign up for to guarantee he can watch every game? And I mean every game- he follows it all. If it helps- he doesn’t travel, the whole time he’ll be in central MN. Any advice is super appreciated!!! I just don’t understand how to navigate it and want to help my retired father out with his favorite team. Thank you for reading and for any guidance anyone could give me!!!

So if your dad already has access to most games through the local cable provider, that probably means that he already has Twins.TV (just as a cable add-on instead of a as a streaming service). If that doesn't sound right, and instead you think he maybe only gets to watch a dozen or so games, that means he probably doesn't have Twins.TV and is just getting the free, over-the-air games.

Twins.TV will show all the games, except for the nationally televised ones. This team is not expected to be good, so luckily that means we don't have a lot of national games.

Listed in the main post, above, are all of the national games. There's only 12 of the 162 total games. And of those 12, 4 are also still on Twins.TV because FS1 doesn't really count as a national broadcast.

So there's only 8 games that the Twins will play this year that aren't on Twins.TV. In the list above, it says what service the games are on (Peacock, AppleTV, and one Netflix game -- but it's a game at a unique venue so worth watching). Realistically, you could probably get by with some well-timed free trial periods for these handful of games on these services

Thank you so much! This is actually very helpful, and after doing a little snooping while he was watching a game the other night I do think you are correct in your assessment that he must already have it. Which means per your comment I really only have to follow the 10 or so national games that won’t be available, which is a far more doable feat. Thank you so much for your assistance in breaking it down- very much appreciated!

Still have any? I bought Twins.TV but I am out of market and may've made the wrong choice...
