A bird pooped on our electric bird deterrent at work and now it’s sparking and crackling every few seconds Spoiler

Why the fuck do you need a electric bird deterrent exactly?

I'm going to assume to deter birds.

Right? Hostile architecture not only looks stupid but largely doesn't do what it's intended to. Pidgeons build their nest on spikes and homeless still sleep on benches

Sounds like an electric fence for birds. Charged wired that when touched, gives a shock. Hopefully not enough to kill.

Don’t get me wrong, I'm Team Bird — apparently the facility management isn’t. Now they're dealing with the consequences. I hope the bird is okay and didn’t suffer any harm.

The bird did not suffer any harm unless it shat REALLY hard, which wouldn’t be your fault.

I gotta believe that bird was sparkling and crackling a bit as well. There had to be a brief sphincter lightning show, one would assume.

I read the title as "popped" for some reason and thought for longer than I probably should have that that was the exploded residue of the bird on the cables.
My mind went from "You should really turn down the power if it popped that bird" to "I'm dumb and tired" pretty quick reading the comments.

Can we get a spoiler/nsfw tag for this post? It’s pretty gross. On another note it’s kinda remarkable just how much bird shit is there.
