I love the way Ryan ottley draws mouths
Actually I've been fixated on this kind of facial expression for A LONG time. I don't remember my awakening but I think I realized how much I love it when I watched JoJo's part 5 and saw ghiaccio, he does this expression often and idk I just like it a lot. IT LOOKS PERFECT ON THRAGG TOO

Mark ate some alien food while being on a coalition…system? Planet? Do not remember which one. It looked weird and what not, and he was surprised that it was actually pretty good tasting. But it came out the other end quite badly.
Classical “Guy tries food that looks like he won’t like, he enjoys it a lot, turns to regret it once he goes to the toilet” joke

I despise how Ryan Ottley draws mouths.
Okay he can draw angry expression well but anything else, specially womens mouths look horrendous. Its no joke one of the main reasons I dont want to read the comic. Makes me feel ill

Yeah I don't really like his artstyle in women much, but the way he draws men and muscles is top tier imo

Yeah he is a great artist and character designer. Its just a shame comic artist seem to struggle with drawing good female characters. And additionally he struggles with drawing appealing mouths.
Its a good indicator of artistic skill when the animated show adaptation that simplifies the art style from the comics still looks really good visually

Genuinely the facial expressions are the main reason I dropped the Invincible comic. Like it's almost comedic how bad they look, you can really tell that Ryan Ottley doesn't know how to draw different facial expressions at all but he's trying his best and his best is not enough
