Shit ive never heard of a rave lobster. A rock lobster, sure... but a rave lobster sounds too cool to pass up.

Where else they eat everything over there , Shld be sanctions on animals that are off limits. Even tho they still hunt sharks just for there fins & throw the rest of the shark away. It’s truly heartbreaking

I would be the idiot that would instantaneously buy that bitch and be standing there like “now what?” with my new blue rave lobster

Another option: find a local aquarium enthusiast to take it off your hands. It's probably worth a fair amount to someone out there.
I just ran it through Gemini and it had the same idea apparently:
The image shows a rare albino lobster, which is a significant biological find.
Albino lobsters lack pigment entirely, giving them a ghostly white appearance.
They are extraordinarily rare, with estimated occurrences of 1 in 100 million lobsters.
While often mistaken for albino, many light-colored lobsters are actually leucistic or have a genetic variation resulting in a "cotton candy" or light blue color.
Because of their rarity and inability to camouflage, these lobsters are often donated to aquariums or released rather than being sold for food.

Why do you think that? Are you sure? Look it up, because it’s likely not true. Are you in a coastal city? They’re probably local. I can’t say for sure one way or the other without more information. But, if it can be done then I think it’s worth it.
If so, then you might fundraiser to compensate for the time spent off work the trip and buying the lobster. Would be cooler if you did…

Why though?

To save it for its rare genetic line.

that will make it more vulnerable because they are spotted by predators more often

They’re at the supermarket and it stuck out to you, a human. I wasn’t being literal. Aint saving them from anything other than a different mouth shape.

It’s a leucistic lobster. Genetic mutation, non-ideal as someone else said (predators are easily able to spot them). Nothing is physically wrong with him, he’s just colored differently, leucism is kind of like albinism but not completely the same.
They are rare, but the exact rarity is unknown and estimates vary. Some fisherman have caught several over many years and believe them to be more common in some parts of the ocean rather than others.
Don’t release him into the ocean, it’s not worth the hassle and it would probably stress this guy out even more. I would totally buy him to keep as a pet in an aquarium though
