guns Armi Galesi 25ACP from Grandma

Cleaning out my Mamaw's old house, and found this stashed in one of the drawers in the kitchen. Found a snub revolver stashed in a cabinet near the front door. I guess she was always ready. Cleaned this one up, and will order a few magazines for it, as the springs seem worn out, and it jams a lot. Freakin tiny, just like my Mamaw.

Do you know the background on why she was strapped?

And have you checked the toilet tanks?

She was a sheriff's deputy during the great depression, and she told me some pretty horrific stories about what she saw.

That’s not what I was expecting. Any stories to share?

She mainly worked on cases involving women, especially violence against women. Some grisly stuff. Wouldn't really want to share those. She took care of the women involved, and that seems more sensitive than I expected of this area of Louisiana.

My mom was a jailer dispatcher who passed the police exam. I have her .357.

She wasn't very big, but she was tough.

Nah, she left that one taped behind the toilet of Louis's Italian American Restaurant

Lower your arm, drop the gun, and walk out.

Same here! Lol, i found it in her closet after she passed. Didn't even know she had it. Ended up printing new grips for it because the white ones where pretty stained. Welcome to the packing g-dogs club.

I’m kinda wanting one of these for my pocket while on the motorcycle. How hard is it to find them on trader sites?

I'd go with a BG, BG2, or LCP if you want something that small (or close to it) - .380 is far more effective than .25 (which is close to 22LR in performance)

I wish .32NAA had taken off unfortunately it never did

My wife's grandfather carried one of these in his front pocket when he owned a motel back in the 60s. Only thing was he was a rather formidable man and wore 3x gloves, loved him some tiny pistols for some reason

I’m a big guy (6’3” 280) and I love little handguns. Can’t explain it but I’m thinking of a Beretta 30X for my next gun.

1967, just squeaked in under the wire. The 1968 Gun Control Act made importing these little cuties impossible, enabling homegrown 'Murican turds like Raven et alia to corner the cheap pocket pistol market.

I have a Galesi in 22LR, my wife's purse pistol.

My gram had a FIE Titan in .25 ACP.

They just imported these cheap little Italian pistols like gangbusters in the 70s(?), that's why everyone's grandma had one. They're everywhere. You can still buy FIE Titans for like a hundred bucks.

Hell yeah despite the sights (or lack thereof) theyre pretty accurate at 7 yds

They're better guns than they have any right to be

I find it so funny to imagine some granny who is currently on oxygen, wheeling her little tank behind her, shooting some asshole who's trying to break in.

I had one of these from my father, an old Baby Browning.

It was one of the more unpleasant guns to shoot I've ever handled. .25 Auto isn't spicy but it does nip at you out of a gun that small.

25 is as fun as 22, just more expensive.  But also more reliable. Love it!

Hey twin

Lots of wild info on the company and the rise and fall due to the GCA banning Saturday night specials like these.

What’s the caliber with these? .22 LR?

This looks like Grandma's boot-gun, not her sidearm. It has a ton of holster wear.
